Maybe they'll eat each other.
I see what you're saying. Even in Inception, he looked younger than Marion Collart, though he's age appropriate.
Actually, it's pretty quiet. No mention of the Oscars there.
A billion dollars shouldn't equal a best pic nom.
Unless your Cameron.
Why do you guys think that Affleck missed the cut? I mean I think that Bigalow isn't in there because of the silly torture controversy played a role but I don't see what happened with Affleck. Did the movie peak too early or something?
You are so mean...like me.That makes me strangely giddy if that was the case.
I loved Deniro's performance and think he 100% deserves his nom. I loved the whole cast and I'm fine with all of the acting noms. Should Weaver win her award? No, Hathaway or Adams should win.
ahh the old if we ignore it, it didnt happen approach lol![]()
Unless your Cameron.
I thought that Adams was amazing and had a great important character to play. She was practically The Master in that film.Really, Adams? She deserves to win someday, but her character is so peripheral in that film that she makes Weaver seem more worthy. I think it is a case really where there were three strong choices (Hathaway, Fields, and Hunt) and just needed to put two more names in it to round it out to five. But I do not think there were five stand out supporting actress turns this year, at least in the movies the Academy likes. Just my opinion.

Huh. That's a surprise. I figured they'd be hoppin' mad.
It not getting a Best Picture nomination was inevitable (though I personally preferred it to Argo and Les Mis, two movies I did very much enjoy), but I was surprised to see it didn't even get a nomination for Sound Mixing and Visual Effects. I guess the Academy really does hate super-popular Nolan. Oh well, he's in good company with Hitchcock, Scorsese, Kubrick and pre-Schindler's List Spielberg.![]()
I thought that she held her own everytime she was on screen.Interesting point, but she really only had two scenes where she wielded the power and in both of them she is either being overshadowed by PSH or JP's characters. I just did not think she got a chance to stand out from the dynamic of those two in the movie.
I think that they have a grudge because of the Inception and TDK snubs but this year? I don't think it was the grudge.Nolan was snubbed for Best Director for Inception. Yeah... they have a grudge against him. Same as Spielberg during the 70s/80s.
It's jealously.
Was that a real reaction after a snub? And I wonder what he's saying..
I think it was during the Golden Globes last year, not sure what he said though.
