i know everyone here loves keaton, but eddie redmayne really did deserve to win over keaton. he was mind blowing good in theory of everything. keaton was great in birdman, but redmayne was better.
Yeah, no. There is a reason Birdman won best picture, and it was Keaton. Eddie Redmayne wasn't even in the top 3.

Oh give me a break, this was just boring, not cringeworthy.

Were we watching the same show? Plenty of cringe-worthy moments for me, mainly because I felt bad for NPH as he continuously bombed with almost every passing "joke", culminating with the opening of the lockbox and reading of his much-anticipated predictions.

Why the hell was he even chosen in the first place?

I think Redmayne is a pretty good actor from what I've seen so...*dodges Darth's tomatoes.*
I don't even hate Redmayne, I like him. But this was not his Oscar. Not even close. I wasn't going to watch this crap for this very reason, but no you all sucked me in with your poopy thread. :(

I was underwhelmed by just about every aspect of The Theory of Everything, tbh. Redmayne was good, but he didn't blow me away.

I guess I am gonna have to watch Theory of Everything, I thought American Sniper and Foxcatcher robbed.

I am so glad I didn't watch any of this. Though I kept up to date on social media. :o

Also, congrats to Julianne Moore for winning the Oscar. Two years in a row! Most impressive.

Okay. Lol Well Keaton will be getting better offers now for sure and might win in the future.

Alright calm down.

Ok, I'm calm :halo:

Kudos to Eddie Redmayne. As I've said before, he made The Theory of Everything watchable.

I nearly fell asleep during the show. So boring.

Congrats to Birdman, though I was rooting for Boyhood all the way. I feel that it got snubbed hard. At least it should've been given Best Director imo.

I am still waiting for Mickey Rourke's Oscar.

They screwed not one, not two, but three actors tonight. Int one category. Impressive.

How about next year they cut down on all this frivolous ******** with the host's music numbers and running gags and give the winners more than twenty seconds to give their thanks for one of the biggest moments of their lives?

Crazy right?

That is exactly how I felt about Boyhood. :o

I can't even remember The last time I fully watched the Oscars.
Ever since the Dark Knight Snub I just wait till the end and quickly change the channel when they announce Best Picture Winner.

They weren't NPH's writers. He had his people do his material and Berlanti and co. did everything else. Though, considering even the non-NPH stuff was so blah, I'd say this should be a lesson NOT to let people running two different shows write the Oscars, because that **** was just droll.

Oh that makes me feel alot better. And yeah, that was pretty f'n dumb.
