Haven't seen Call Me By Your Name yet, but definitely concur that Darkest Hour sure didn't deserve it.

Sweet lord! Almost an 4hr award show. Some of these awards branches should not be televised, I'm sorry. Sorry to the folks that do makeup/set design/sound etc, but ya'll could easily be presented an Oscar the night before at that other Oscar show.

Cut the musical numbers etc. Goddamn.

I like that the Oscars televise the side categories. They're a a huge part of what goes into making the films that win the bigger awards.

Don't know why they don't just give the whole show that extra hour in case. What's the point of rushing things in the ceremony if everything is still gonna go over anyway?
