How about next year they cut down on all this frivolous jumpsuit with the host's music numbers and running gags and give the winners more than twenty seconds to give their thanks for one of the biggest moments of their lives?

Crazy right?

What blew my mind is they have worked for years to end in a reasonable amount of time. But this was the year they decided to say f'it, and go super long.

I nearly fell asleep during the show. So boring.

Congrats to Birdman, though I was rooting for Boyhood all the way. I feel that it got snubbed hard. At least it should've been given Best Director imo.

It does suck for Linklater to put in so much effort and ambition only to not be rewarded for it. But hey, he got some recognition at least. But as big as the Oscars can be, we all know that true immortality is whether a film is remembered years after. Perhaps Boyhood will reach that status. Who knows?

They screwed not one, not two, but three actors tonight. Int one category. Impressive.

Have to agree with you. Carell, Keaton and Cumby all gave better performances than Redmayne. I really don't understand that decision

He's a legitimately great showman. That's why he was chosen.

I think I might have watched a few minutes of when Franco was a host a few years back... I flipped the channel to the Oscars and Franco is in a Pink Dress. what the hell is going on! t: and their jokes were stupid.

I doubt NPH was worse than that. Once this hits youtube I'll watch some of it to see how bad it is.

I haven't seen Foxcatcher yet, so I can't say on that. But yeah, I was annoyed Jake was nominated for Nightcrawler.

Yeah, no. There is a reason Birdman won best picture, and it was Keaton. Eddie Redmayne wasn't even in the top 3.

Yeah. IMO Keaton, Cumberbatch, Carrell, Gyllenhaal, Oleyowo were better this year.

Considering how Warners keeps stealing there the Arrowverse's thunder (first with announcing Ezra as Flash the week the show premiered, then announcing an a A-list cast Suicide Squad film, just as Boomerang made his Arrow debut, and as they hoped for an SS show), it was probably sweet payback.
