Stop being wrong, flickchick, I dislike disagreeing with you so much. :csad:
Be honest Sawyer. You knew this elephant was in the room the whole time. We both knew.

I am the guy who arrived at the dance with two girls, and then not only left alone, but had to drive his friend and his date home. And they won't stop making out in the backseat. :csad:
That's what happens when you play the game.

that title will always belong to Franco.
This. At least NPH put in some effort.

It was a good show this year, loved the opening musical part, dissapointed in a few of the big categories and the tech categories but overall my head ballot was spot on and my heart ballot was not. Hate waiting til next year. I am shocked that Sniper was the receipent of only one award, I loved how enthusiastic Redmayne was but he was holding Cumberbatchs trophy. I'm also not sure how The Lego Movie wasn't nominated at all. Good show though, I want Hugh and Neil next year though.

What blew my mind is they have worked for years to end in a reasonable amount of time. But this was the year they decided to say f'it, and go super long.
They were still a little over thirty minutes away from breaking the record for the longest telecast.

What year did that happen? Wasn't it recently? I haven't watched an Oscars this in-depth in a while, but I feel like they have been good at capping the overrun at 15mins.

Hmmm....maybe Hugh and Anne Hathaway (give her a chance with someone who will actually play ball). Or Hugh and Kendrick.

Or Colbert.

Amy and Tina for every award show ever, and I will END anyone who disagrees. :o

I really wish Julia Louis-Dreyfus would join them. But she stubbornly refuses.

Next year get Nick Offerman. Just have him blow through every category and tell everyone they can pick up their awards backstage later.

They should get the entire cast of Brooklyn 99, and have them all in character.

2002.
It was the year that A Beautiful Mind won.
4 hours and 20 minutes .
In 2007, when the Departed won , they went 3 hours and 50 minutes .

Lightning has just struck my brain, Hugh and Jennifer Lawrence.

Thank you. Yeah, I thought they put some effort in wrapping up quickly near the end, but they just seem to say frack it this year. 2007 made sense because of Scorsese. No way you don't give him all the time in the world.

You don't want Jennifer Lawrence hosting an award show. It would only taint our image of her when she totally bombs at it.

So we can agree FOX Makes the best superhero movies out there right? 4 Oscars man! ;)

I feel like Pan's Labyrinth was the closest GDT will ever come to an "Oscar film."

He might come closer if he decides to make another spanish film and represent mexico. He could just press a few buttons and be nominated for editing...like his friend, Cuaron. :woot:
