We've considered it, Bay. We've considered it. :o

So who wants to fire up the 88th Academy Awards thread?

Every time I saw a "God's Not Dead" T.V spot I laughed hysterically. Man does that film look awful.

I highly recommend it for that reason, it's hysterical. [BLACKOUT]Someone gets hit by a car and they watch him die, don't call 9-1-1 but just force him to convert to Christianity. Then they walk back to their car and smile, talking about how God is good. [/BLACKOUT] It's amazing.

And then there's the crisis of faith because [BLACKOUT]their rental car won't start to go to Disney World.[/BLACKOUT] And Dean Cain's girlfriend [BLACKOUT]telling Dean Cain that she has cancer, to which he replies "This couldn't have waited until later?"[/BLACKOUT]

On topic: Disappointed to see Keaton lost. Redmayne was good, but I just thought Keaton was better.

The Oscars pulled in 6.4 million viewers less than last year. 36.6 million viewers ain't shabby in this television climate but certainly NPH isn't being invited back now.

My suggestions for next year:

-Louis CK
-Steve Carell
-Ricky Gervais
-Key & Peele
-Seth Rogen & James Franco(I heard Franco wasn't very good though.)

They like to alternate between somewhat safe and somewhat raunchy with their hosts. I bet you anything Colbert or Jon Stewart gets it next year. Or get offered.

Sorry Moose but James Franco was an awful host and will never be allowed to host with anyone again.

Id like too see how the ratings went as the night moved on and if they steadily lost viewers because it was boring for the most part.

What time did it even end? I live on the East Coast and this s*** was on way past 12. I just went to bed at midnight.

Im on east coast and I fell asleep around 11:30 and it
It showed no signs of slowing down. Maybe next year they should limit tje amount of musicals and start it at 8 and be done by 11. this doesnt need to be as long as it was.

Most great comedians won't do the Oscars now.

It just isn't worth it.

Tina Fey has kinda said this for better or worse. You just can't please most folks with this ceremony and its a lot easier and relaxing to do the Globes.

They might as well make the Oscars ultra-serious then. Hosted by Daniel Day Lewis.

Get Alan Rickman and just have him deadpan all the corny jokes.

Yeah, this should star at 8 and then end by 11:30.

"Three of this year's Best Actor nominees played police officers. I guess you could say the academy found their performances ... arresting. Pause for laughter. I also see that Dame Judi Dench is in tonight's audience ..."
