My mistake, The Revenant has the most nods.

Looks like Scott was the casualty of the BD snub.

Leo's ability to always get his co-stars supporting nods is amazing.

How Jeniffer Lawrence made the Best Actress list I don't know. But Brie Larson has that Oscar in the bag.

revenant also no writing nod.. which makes it very unlikely for Best Picture. I think Titanic is the only movie that ever won without the writing category.

Miller needs to win over Inarritu. That's all I ask.

I hope Fassbender gets it over Leo honestly. I hate to say it I was just bored by the revenant and by the time it got going I was just not into it. I think Stallone has it for his category.

While I'm pleasantly surprised to see Tom Hardy get a nomination, his dual role in Legend was far more Oscar-worthy, IMO, than his role in The Revenant. But Legend wasn't anything special as a movie, and got weak reviews and little exposure.

Stallone winning would bring so many people joy who have grown up watching his movies.

It stinks that Scott was snubbed for Director. And if they had to go with a suprise pick there, why not Ryan Coogler instead of the guy from Room. I had never heard his name in Director talk before now...

I'd also like to point out the sheer insanity of Writings on the Wall getting a nod over See You Again.

thats exactly how I felt about Revenant. Especially those pretentious flashbacks, those dragged so much -_- ..

Sly's got this.

Unfortunately the category fraud with Vikander and Mara opened up 2 spots for her to sneak in.

I just realized that Sorkin was snubbed. :funny:

They only went with eight BP nominees?

That makes the Carol snub look worse.

I really hope Mad Max wins most of the awards with Bryan Cranston winning best male lead from Trumbo.

Yeah. I expected no Haynes but I was hoping for a BP nod.

Is Oscarssowhite and oscarssomale trending already? :p

Good ole category fraud. Got to love it! I'm just happy she ain't winning this time.

Wow, the Academy got it right for once. Best Picture and Best Director for Mad Max!! Go George!

Usually I ***** and moan like a little **** about the Oscar nominations, but I think this list is pretty fair. Slightly bummed that Charlize Theron didn't get a nomination for "Mad Max", although it's awesome the movie's up for ten awards, especially best director and best picture. I'm pretty sure I was rolling my eyes at fans who expected her to get a nomination when the movie was initially released anyway.

More surprised that Carol didn't get nominated for best pic or best director. Also, Brooklyn for best picture? What the ****?

I'm really shocked that Inside Out didn't get nominated for Best Picture.
Why is it 8 nominations anyway? Shouldn't it be 10?
