When he says "explodes" in reference to Lois and Clark's relationship, he BETTER not mean that in a bad way.

Is it just me or does it look like the guy on the screen is sporting a Punisher shirt.

Cool info about max lord character. Should be very interesting to see what his character has in store for the smallville regulars. Also i really do hope lord/waller are a big part of season ten.

Interested to see who is more powerful than Maxwell Lord!

Other than Lord and Waller, any other main members of Checkmate?

probably the alien threat they are worried about .... "Darkseid coming???"

so that would mean Lord is working for Darkseid? and Waller is not...

I assume Pam Grier is also in the episode.

could be or darkseid is a greater threat then checkmate believes he is or something. Also i am sure grier is probably in the episode she is due to be in like 5 episodes i believe. So absolute justice, checkmate, charade, and probably season finale.

I wonder if they will let Lois in on Clark's secret?

I doubt it, at least for this season. I don't think they would do it just yet since we still have a whole other season to look forward to. I do think, however, that this version of Lois will evntually find out Clark's secret before the end of the series. I find it interesting though that Lois never found out about Clark's secret when she went into the future. I mean it's not like she would've remembered it anyway.

True. They danced around the secret in the future, though it should have been painfully obvious to Lois that Clark was the Blur.

yea they did dance around it then. though as for lois knowing for sure between now and close of series. i doubt they will do it.

yeah, Lois knowing the secret is becoming less likely I guess if the producers want the show to align with the classic mythology (hence killing off fake Jimmy Olsen).

And it's stuff like that that makes me think 'frak the mythology'.

Smallville: Official CW Description For "Charade!"

Here's the CW's official description for "Charade," the April 23 episode of Smallville:
DC COMICS' CHARACTER MAXWELL LORD VISITS METROPOLIS - Lois (Erica Durance) investigates the early prison release of ex-District Attorney Raymond Sacks (guest star Dylan Neal) but he threatens her with a gun when confronted. The Blur (Tom Welling) saves her, but is captured on film by a delivery guy (guest star Dustin Schwartz) who plans to sell the photo to Sacks. Lois and Clark each attempt to thwart the delivery of the photo and run into Maxwell Lord (guest star Gil Bellows, "Ally McBeal" ), a wealthy tycoon and Checkmate operative, who is trying to learn The Blur's identity to eliminate him. Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) discovers Zod's (Callum Blue) secret. Posted on KryptonSite. Brian Peterson directed the episode written by Don Whitehead & Holly Henderson (#3SX5269).

like the sound of most of it but wondering what the secret is. Maybe this will advance Clark going public with his identity.
And it's stuff like that that makes me think 'frak the mythology'.
sure some things like the death of "Henry Jimmy Olsen" and Davis and Doomsday being buried underground makes me wonder if they really are following the mythos and then I remember:
John Jones/Martian Manhunter being a police detective(Showcase Presents: Martian Manhunter volume 1 shows that he lolst his powers and still retained his human form)
Clark becoming a Daily Planet Reporter and The Blur/Good Samaritan( people veiw it as a proto superman and

-LnC Clark Kent went through a sewer to save someone and the sewer worker said Clark save him, and he flew in front of a man(drunk sure but still) before he made the costume
-Silver Age/Bronze Age Superman/Superboy save people in secret before he revealed himself to be superboy
-Birthright Superman who saved people in secret for 7 years and didn't reveal his identity because everytime he revealed his powers people were mistrustful of him and he did the space rescue but people didn't believe it wasn't him. He didn't become Superman untill he fully accepted and balanced his kryptonian and human side
-When people first saw STAS Clark and was saving people in secret people were scared of him at first and though he was like Batman and after he was under mindcontrol from Darkseid people like Dr.Hamilton didn't trust him and created Cadmus
-Post Man of Steel Clark speant 7 years saving people and averting disasters in secret and had to be forced by the space shuttle accident and everyone already seeing his face to be Superman and had to make a disguise as both Clark and Superman and even then he blurred his face when someone taking a picture of him
-Superman Secret Origin# 3 when Clark saved Lois as Superman(who was saving people in secret before he became Superman) he was thinking he made a mistake revealing himself to the public
JLA:The Nail/Another Nail have Kal hiding his powers most of his life with his amish parents and when he revealed his powers and his parents died living in a world where Metahumans aren't trusted he spent most of his time saving people
KC Superman is known here
Frank Miller's Dark Knight Superman speant time in secret saving people in a deal with a goverment when people like Batman came up
the 1940s superman radio adventures, he wasn't a public figure at first either, he was threatening criminals not to tell the police about him, a few eyewitnesses so a blur with a red cape and Clark called it an urban legend and the only reason he revealed himself to the public was because there were to many witnesses) and him balancing both his double lives and his human and kryptonian side
Bart turning from a thief into a member of the proto JLA and also a superhero
Lois being a good investegative reporter
Lex turning evil and hating aliens
Cat Grant being a TV host
and more

I like that Dylan Neal is coming back. But the description does remind me of the episode when Jimmy took a photo of Clark.

So Zod has a secret and Maxwell lord has a secret "boss" that he goes too? Any connections?

...

I'm thinking it's that she discovers ZOD has superpowers.

and maybe...

If so then I would think it would be she who dies at ZOD's hands (in an attempt to keep the knowledge from Clark), but TPTB said a death isn't until several eps later--correct? Doubt ZOD would wait that long.

Well the trailer showed that Clark and Zod are in the fortress and Clark knows he has powers so it's either upgrade or an episode between 16-19
as for Max Lord he was the Black King for Checkmate in the comic so maybe he like's that in Smallville.

I could see this going either way like Man of steel(which was partially seen in Identity with Clark being forced to reveal his semi existance and kind of in Infamouse and Idol where Clark was also force to reveal or almost reveal his identity) after saving people in secret and then created his superhero secret identity(Identity which thanks to Jimmy and Ron Troupe and Ollie wearing a RBB Costume, he became the Good Identity/Red Blue Blur and after infamous he wore a red jacket-blue t-shirt superhero "costume" for his Blur and develop his RBB from an alias into a double identity, etc) Birthright(where he reveal his identity on his own terms) where he created his superhero secret identity when he has to save people(kind of like Infamous which he save people on his terms) and also, Idol( where he became he become The Blur and develop his superhero identity more)

the episode where Clark and Zod are in the Fortress is Upgrade.

nice episode description. Sounds like it will be a pretty good episode.

well the whole thing with the glasses they will have to come up with some crazy way to make the glasses thing work with folks he been around with for awhile, and then his whole hero identity and all that.

well we saw Clark consider this in Idol. But now maybe this will help him decide to wear it more.
