Wow kinda surprised Fraser didn’t win for Whale
I'm not. He rightfully boycotted the Globes because the HFPA did him dirty. Instead of trying to make amends with him and giving him the award, they basically went "Oh really? Well **** you too then." Not saying Austin Butler didn't do a great job but that really should have been Fraser's.Wow kinda surprised Fraser didn’t win for Whale

Hollywood, Calif. - January 11, 2023 - The Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® will stream live on Netflix globally beginning in 2024 thanks to a new multi-year partnership between Netflix and the SAG Awards.
SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland said: “We are thrilled to embark on this exciting new partnership with Netflix and we look forward to expanding the global audience for our show. As the only televised awards program exclusively honoring the performances of actors, whose work is admired by millions of fans, the SAG Awards are a unique and cherished part of the entertainment universe.”
Ive seen most 2022 films and now seeing Fabelmans and Banshees winning the Golden Globes is suprising. I thought they werent that good. Thought Triangle of Sadness is better.
Cameron will be fine. It's not like Hollywood hasn't decorated him with enough awards already and he's got three of the highest grossing films of all time under his belt. Avatar 2's box office is already showing for it. Hell, the first Avatar won Best Drama at the Globes. Cruise on the other hand was probably on the HFPA's **** list after he returned his Golden Globes, so him not being nominated and Top Gun not winning anything isn't too surprising, although I was a little surprised that neither Gaga nor Rihanna won for Best Song. While I am happy, I'm delighted Guillermo del Toro won for Pinocchio and Austin butler won! I'm dissatisfied that top gun maverick didn't win the best drama disappointed, with Lady gaga losing the best song for the same film. I find it head-scratching that Jenna Ortega lost for her performance as Wednesday Addams, and I would have loved to see James Cameron win for the avatar sequel. I understand that Spielberg is fantastic, but seeing the teams not win anything looked like they nominated the avatar and top gun sequel films to boost ratings and nothing more. And it's not right both Tom Cruise and James Cameron worked hard on their films for a long time. So it's frustrating seeing that they didn't have anything to show for it after working hard for the moviegoers.
Yep, look no further than Shakespeare in Love winning over Saving Private Ryan for the textbook example of this. Also, it's all about how the studios campaign during awards season and it's their job to win over the press and voters.
It's like running for office.
