The hardest I've ever disagreed with the Oscars in a long time and that is saying something. I don't think I agreed with a single win (Quan and Fraser were worthy, just not necessarily my choices).

Really need to see All Quiet though, apparently.

Are we forgetting Halle so quickly? :hehe:

Maybe the first to do so AFTER being a Bond Girl, not sure.

And technically, Kim Basinger for LA Confidential (but some don't count Never Say Never Again as a real Bond film)

EDIT: My bad, "Best Actress" was specified. Kim got "Best Supporting Actress"

I also didn't watch the Oscars but seeing EEAAO getting so much love and recognition definitely warms my heart as well as seeing Brendan Fraser finally get the recognition he deserves after all these years.

I honestly didn't expect to enjoy The Whale as much as I did and that's mostly because of his performance which you could tell he put all of his heart and soul into and its great seeing such hard work rewarded.

All Quiet on the Western Front was a pretty great little movie too.

What was your pick for Best Picture.

The guy that won for Best Film Editing tonight (Paul Rogers) — he’s very pretty.

Apparently he’s replaced Oscar Issac as the internet’s new boyfriend.

So, I have a really important question....Why were the E! pre-game shows called "Red Carpet <whatever>" when the carpet was really sort of an off white?

Well when you dislike one movie and that just happens to be the movie that on an unprecedented scale dominates almost every category, then gyeah, you're gonna have a rough night.
