Should have won for her Catwoman performance.
Absolutely. She was just as Oscar worthy crazy as Heath and Joaquin were.

I'd be surprised if they did. That movie is more shunned now compared to about 20 years ago when it was still very much in pop culture consciousness because as memorable a performance Pacino gave in it, it's still brownface for all intents and purposes. Something tells me the Academy isn't going to celebrate that, especially since it wasn't even nominated for any Oscars back in the day anyway.I assume we are getting a 40th anniversary Scarface reunion here.
When you see who actually won Best Supporting Actress that year...yeah, Michelle Pfeiffer could have gotten at least a nomination for Returns. That's not to say that Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny is a bad performance at all because it isn't, but it's no more Oscar worthy than Pfeiffer in Returns.
Giamatti wasn't even nominated for Sideways.
My Cousin Vinny is awesome. Probably should have won Best Script for Dale Launer. The dialogue & situations are absolutely hilarious. Somehow Marissa Tomei was the only nominee for this film. Joe Pesci should have been nominated for Best Actor and Fred Gwynne as the Judge should have been nominated for Supporting Actor. Jonathan Lynn should have been nominated for Best Director as well.
In addition to being a genuinely great and hilarious film, My Cousin Vinny is actually one of the most accurate courtroom dramas of all time. All of the law and procedure is spot-on, which is why my evidence prof in law school actually in all seriousness showed clips to teach topics. My Cousin Vinny is timeless. I can watch that stuttering courtroom scene a thousand times and still laugh like its the first time I saw it.
Cooper was good in Maestro but I was more moved by his voice performance in GOTG Vol. 3 to be honest.I want Cooper to win for something that's actually interesting so it all works out in the end.
Cooper will win Best Actor eventually. But most likely for something he didn’t also direct himself in lol
