Bonuses are great, but if I had to choose between a permanent $15 minimum wage and a one time a year bonus I'd choose the $15 easily.

It really shouldn't be a choice though.

It shouldnt but it is unfortunately, and I think the wage is the better choice.

Being frank, bonuses are just that. A bonus. Never a guarantee. A lot of companies will withhold bonuses for various reasons. A permanent wage increas is a pretty good reason to withhold bonuses. Tho I do think Amazon is ridiculously profitable enough to pay its employees $20 an hour and give bonuses and it probably wouldnt even hurt the company's profit margins.

I agree. The bonus is once, but the pay raise stays.

I hope I like it better than Iron Fist which was a chore to watch. :(
Have you seen the first 2 seasons? They are in a different stratosphere compared to Iron Fist IMO.

who bought a lotto ticket tonight?

What do you think compared to seasons 1 and 2 so far?
It's like a much better season 1 imo. The first 2 episodes are real slow burn, but also really good. After that, the pace really starts to pick up and has been excellent imo. It basically takes on the pace the first 4 episodes of season 2. The looming threat of Kingpin is just fantastic. On episode 8 now. Loving it

Awesome. I should get quite far into it this weekend.

I am four episodes deep and I think DD remains the crown jewel in the Marvel Netflix stable of shows by a wide margin. A few minor quibbles aside the team on this show have handled things in way that satisfies me. My only two issues are with some of Foggy's dialog and so far I am not crazy about this version of Bullseye, or at least at this point an embryonic Bullseye but other than those things it's crackerjack all around and the pacing, tension, drama, characterization and action are what all super hero TV shows should be going for.

I hope you enjoy it Iceman. Also, I am digging the origin of Bullseye.
I’m looking forward to Bullseye. I’m halfway through the 2nd but will watch a load tomorrow.

I'll probably get to start it Sunday, Monday. :)

Flick said she couldn't this time. It shall remain as a terrible stain on her legacy. All that she built is lost.

Nice one. Hope you enjoy it. Just starting Daredevil again makes me wonder why some other showrunners don't feel ashamed by their product. How can Marvel have their name on this yet also have 2 Scott Buck shows to their name.

JJ S1 was a good follow up to DD S1. But since Iron Fist and Defenders being merely good (the main event needs to be bigger and better), the universe setup (which is was what I'm usually most interested in) has become a bit of a bore. It's really pretty much the Daredevil show now for me. You really need to get your first big main event right to get all the sparks you've lit to explode. JL totally failed in that department for the DCEU and Defenders didn't take advantage here. Avengers did and look where the MCU is now. The Netflix side of things started so strongly but overall feels like a missed opportunity outside of the one show that is so consistent.

He definitely isn't what I expected from Bullseye, but as you said, this does feel so early.

DD as a stand alone is just so great. It's the best "superhero" show by a lot imo. I really like JJ as well, but it isn't really a superhero show. I just wish there was no Defenders, and we got a proper season for that arc for Elektra and Matt.

I am willing to see where they go. Partially my issue is that I don't think even in a show as gritty as DD that you needed this level of complexity and characterization for Bullseye. Like, I don't need a deep understanding of the backstory. I won't go into spoiler territory but I think he could have just been a semi-superhuman assassin that gets involved with the plot due to being hired by Fisk, gets intrigued and then obsessed by the challenge of Daredevil and boom... Classic DD and Bullseye rivalry. I am not saying have zero development or characterization, I just don't think the tack they are on adds much and would rather have had the wild man asssassin character he has always been from the giddyup. I guess the way they are doing this is more "grounded" but my expectations for Bullseye is that he's a heartless thrill killer and was that way even before he got involved with DD. No need to give him too much depth in his backstory. The depth should be from his crazed obsession with DD. I did like his introduction to the show. He's certainly formidable but so far that feels incongruous with the background they have given him unless something more comes out about him.

Still this is as I stated the crown jewel of super hero TV. What's funny to me is that I don't have either a Marvel or D.C. property as number two. That goes to The Tick oddly enough and I think it's closer than even I care to admit.
