The Dark Knight Aaron EckHart up for dent!

I always felt Eckhart would be a solid choice for Dent, but with so many names being thrown around, I never thought he'd get in the running. I'd be ecstatic if he got the role. He's got what it takes to deliver in the role and then some.

I do remember people throwing his name out and thinking pretty much the same as you - that he wasn't a 'name' so he wouldn't get it. Gotta love Nolan's ability to surprise.

an actor like Eckhart would be much more likely to sign on for 2 films than a Norton or a Foxx would. I doubt those other high-brow actors would be willing to sign on today for what will likely be a significant shoot in 2010.

Heh, I always did have him in the back of my mind as a possible candidate. Pretty good choice I'd say.

Back before Begins alot of us thought he would have made a good Gordon. I'm sure he would do an admirable job as Dent. I'd rather see him ahead of Foxx, Phillippe or Bailey, thats for sure. I still hope Norton gets a shot.

Hmm, I don't really remember him being mentioned that much during the role. A lot of us were on the Chris Cooper bandwagon (boy, there was some serious damage control when he rejected the role) as well as Dennis Quaid.

I am always amazed at how they keep sneeking these good cating choices in right under our noses. They did the same with Joker. No one here thought of Heath for the role, but I think he'll be amazing, and now this. I say good choice if it is true.

Nice work I really like Eckhart for Dent. Best option we've heard yet, IMO.
