Inhumans ABC's The Inhumans - General Discussion (news, updates, speculation...) - Part 1

Eh, I am 100% certain that "lack of superjumps" was not a budget decision, but a creative one. Jessica Jones and Iron Fist are not analogous in any way.

It was a bad decision. The scene where she leaped away from Nuke and his friend was laughable.

The way they pretended too look up at her in awe, but it cuts away to them instead her her, was like something from a student film in the early 90's.

I don't want Jessica Jones to turn into a CGI fest, but you can't ignore the fact that she's still a superhero with powers. You rarely get a sense of that in the show.

I can see this trailer playing better to some audiences, but that's not saying a whole lot.

God awful special effects, especially Medusa's hair. That last line, got me intrigued though. Still, this **** looks cheap as F.

I am interested in hearing what guys like Matt Key and Jon Schnepp have to say about the second trailer, because they had different reactions to the first trailer. Key was in a rage over the first trailer while Schnepp expressed disappointment.

I am going to give this show a shot, but not optimistic about it. However, we must all remember how this show started:

The first 15 episodes ranged from awful to okay. Episode 16 was above average, and then "Turn, Turn, Turn" happened and that episode will be forever be known as the "Gamechanger" episode that turned around a lot of our perceptions of the show. Whether or not Inhumans has their own "Turn, Turn, Turn" in season one seems doubtful but who knows.

This still looks absolutely awful imo. What makes this a step up? It all still looks really sterile, really cheap, really badly lit, just really, really ugly.

Speaking of Agents of SHIELD it looks like the whole Terrigen Crystals in the water thing is part of Inhumans. So there's that - the show will be referencing AOS.

And I have faith that this show is going to be fine. I am see more positive than negative things on Twitter at the moment and that's giving me hope. I also thing there are some people who are just dead set on hating the Inhumans and will never say anything good about them.

Trailer 2 is better.

Karnak, Medusa and Triton all had lines.

Special effects look good for a TV show. Considering what Marvel Studios did with Agents of SHIELD and Luke Cage, that isn't surprising.

The sets still look horrible.

The costumes still look horrible.

Talk on Twitter about people laughing after watching the first 15 minutes of footage. Not a good sign. Sounds like people will stop watching the show early on.

If Marvel knew how badly Scott Buck was botching Iron Fist, why did they hire him for a second TV show? He's doing to Marvel Studios what Chuck Austen did to Marvel publishing.

These special effects are not good for television. They really, really aren't. The CW shows blow it away, and I don't think the CW shows pull it off all that often.

I still believe this is better than first trailer, but I will acknowledge that the costuming is really sub-par, especially Maximus. His attire is duller than dishwater. What is really disappointing though, if this doesn't end up being good, is that it really sounds like Anson Mount has put a lot of work into this role.

some of the acting still bothers me and cinematography leaves a lot to be desired.

also dont care about that guy writing bad stuff on twitter. there are positive reactions and besides, he looks like he made up his mind already.

This one was a 6/10 for me compared to the last one being a 2/10. Which is more accurate remains to be seen, but neither are where it needs to be.
