The Dark Knight ACME SECURITY - New Joker game! (E-Mail from Gordon on 4/18)

no i agree with everyone who is a little let down- we all expected something- something with a little more of a point. the game was incredible- now if it would have just all ended with a reward for all of us it would have put this april fools day on the map as one of the most incredible days in the tdk buildup. it started great and kinda flopped- i saw more people today get involved than i ever thought possible- i didnt know there was that many people on these boards. just a couple of pics or a trailer or even a low budget youtube-esque movie of the joker playing a sick game with a hostage. 42 doesnt owe us anything but we really dont owe them anything either- at the end all we get is memories- they get money. so yeah after the treasure hunt at around 8:30 or 9:00 they could have unleashed and incredible prize creating some fitting closure on the days events and giving us the community something to buzz and talk about all night. strong start weak finish- but im still open for a new incredible find tonight

Well, I think Joe Kerrr is onto something in the clowntravel thread. He's collecting all of the names listed on the bowling balls. Each one had an individual name on it. What makes it even more interesting is that on the clowntravel site early today some of those names were actually listed, but most weren't. No why would they list some names and not the rest unless they wanted us to know there was something to solve.

First time post, long time lurker. I know that I am upset, I was at the Kingston alley at 11:30 this morning, and it didn't open until 3. I waited around, and eventually they let me inside, because it was raining, as 3 drew closer more people came(none before 2 though), and soon there was a small crowd, we were all on cell phones to get the update from various people, and I got mine same time as everyone, but, the lady who got to the locker first was already there. It took her at least 15 tries to open it, and as other people were telling her to let me have a try, acknowledging I had been there much longer than anyone, she snipped "I was here first". Once she opened it, we were all excited to see what was inside, but she tucked it under her arm, and walked out briskly, denying the entire group the chance to see what was inside. After waiting in the rain for 4 hours, missing class and work.... I was upset to say the least. But I enjoyed the message from "Gordon" so I guess its all good

Until there's some sort of confirmation about how these pics got out, they ARE NOT to be posted.

The focal point of this thread needs to turn back to the topic of the latest Joker game.

So did anyone else have trouble on acme today? I registered 15 times, got 15 calls, sucessfully confirmed the password 15 times, and NEVER ONCE saw that "captured" page...

I got the sever busy several times, but kept plugging away, and it eventualy went to the right page, try it again, is the page still up?

Long time lurker...first time poster. So first and fore most...HELLO ALL! I honestly did not know where to post any type of hello so thought I'd try to jump into the conversation in some way shape or form whilst introducing myself.
But I digress. Back on topic...
I know this has been touched on and discussed...but I have to agree with some saying the phone call received was NOT Oldman, BUT, that does not mean it's not really supposed to be Gordon.
Truth be told who really knows? Though I also tend to agree the names on the balls COULD possibly mean something in the future. but at the moment I'm just glad I finally got in on the Virally goodness...and I'm looking forward to the next step etc.

Wow. My apologies. I didn't realize that they "made" you do all that. Nor was I under the impression that you were "required" to.:whatever:

You guys really sound like a bunch of spoiled children, man. If you're that upset, then why don't you just take your ball (no pun intended) and go home, so to speak. The interactivity of the promotional campaign is what makes it fun. Nobody owes you anything, because really, you didn't do ****. You didn't do a damn thing. This campaign could just as easily be a couple of posters and a trailer or two. Maybe a lunchbox. But Warner Bros. and 42 Ent. decide to work on something cool that gets everyone actively involved and they get **** on by ungrateful sulks. Any real fan would just be happy to be a part of this.

You seem overly defensive of this whole thing. Seriously, why does it personally offend you that people are slightly disappointed at the results of this stage of the campaign?

Hell, i'm even comparing it to their prior stages in this campaign, and saying how those were done better, so i'm still giving credit to your oh-so-precious 42 entertainment. Just saying they dropped the ball this time around.

Most of the past games seemed to have some type of tiny reward for each step of the game, especially one as big as a world-wide scavenger hunt. I really wouldn't have kept coming back to my computer to check for updates all day if I'd have know all it was leading to was a phone call by a bad Gary Oldman impersonator.

You act like we're calling for 42's head on a stake or something. We're just saying we expected more. Big freakin' whoop, but apparently we're spoiled children and ungrateful sulks and not real fans or whatever.

Im lovin every second of these virals :word:

Hope it leads to a trailer

what "captured" page?

I think he means the page that flashes red when the site reads that it's captured your IP address.

No worries. Does this everyday at this time. ONly lasts 25 minutes.

I'm still thinking the "?." at the End Of The Jokers note to go to Acme security should be further examined...or am I on my own?
