Actors 'shot dead while filming crime movie'

Guess those writers are really serious about not crossing the picket line!

"Well, when I see five weirdos dressed in togas, stabbing a man in the middle of the park in front of a full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards, that's my policy." - Frank Drebin

Can't believe none one has used this yet.

You guys act like this was on the streets of New York.....

It's ANGOLA..........at this moment, there is no law there....

I bet it's a big publicity stunt to get more people to watch this movie...

Cops just wouldn't leave the scene of the crime...

:yay:

The country where they were filming

The problem I always have with this scenario when it's in a movie is that how could you not notice the large group of crew members, cameras etc.. But I guess this event proves that it could happen.

Still... How could you not notice the crew, cameras? It's not like they try to hide when they film. Seems pretty freaking stupid.

Greatest comedy of all time:up:

This is what happens when you film in Angola.

Some of these method actors take things way too far.

"...police had been notified of the filming, and they had received permits to film in the area."

Wow. :o

wow ! what a breakdown in communication .. who enters a fire fight and doesnt call for backup.

wow cops are ******ed.

did they not see a **** load of crew members with filming equipment in a blocked off area, they'll give anyone a job as a cop now a days.

they should be suspended.

The fact that some are calling it a "tragic" mistake doesn't take away the other fact that as cops you shouldn't be firing your gun without giving orders to the people your aiming at. Unless they happen to shoot at the police first.

They should have yelled at them to drop their weapons and lay on the ground. Instead it sounds like they just saw the guns and thought it was a real robbery and decided to go guns blazing.

And again, this wasn't New York City where the police have protocal....

True, just shows you how crazy and barbaric(yes I'm using that word :oldrazz: ) some countries still are. Kind sad for this day and age.

exactly , maybe they subconsciously knew it was a movie set , so that is why they were acting like rambo .. they should lose their badges or be killed by a firing squad .. i find either resolution acceptable.

That stinks! Police officers should definitly get suspended or whoever comes out responsible in the ened for the of this. Who were the actors? Anyone real big? On a side note, does anyone know about a actor dying in the movie the crow? I heard from a friend that in the filming the lead actor got shot and died and they had to change the movie to fix it? Can anyone help me out here?

Brandon Lee was killed because someone on the set did not properly clean one of the guns they were using on the set. You see, in order to get muzzle flash on film, the guns are technically real, but the barrel is much smaller and the bullets used are modified blanks. But, if you don't clean them properly between each firing, a small amount of bullet is left in the barrel, essentially becoming a projectile.

They were rushing to get to the martini shot (the last shot of the day), and forgot to make sure the gun was clean. It was a scene where Lee's character was shot at point blank range. When the gun fired, the small amount of bullet was shoved through the barrel, and struck Lee in the chest, fatally wounding him.

This info comes straight from the prop master of the movie.
