Actors who you want to "wait and see" if they are any good

Shia LaBeouf - I think he's shown promise, and he was extremely good in A Guide To Recognising Your Saints. I think give him a good role with a confident director and you'll see him shine.

Anton Yelchin - I'm already pretty much sold on Yelchin. In Charlie Bartlett he held his own against RDJ, and he was one of the few good points about Terminator Salvation, so if he makes the right choices he could be the next big thing.

Zac Efron - I don't know.. I think there is more in there than most people give him credit for. He's charismatic as hell, and not unnatural. I don't think Me and Orson Welles looks very good, but I'll still check it out to "monitor" his progress.

I am hyped for that movie after watching the trailers, but it's all for the monsters and the supporting cast (Neeson, Fiennes, Davalos, etc.). You're a Henry Cavill fan, right? I wish to God that he had been cast as Perseus in COTT and Worthington had been cast in that War of the Gods movie that's apparently never going to go into production.

Jennifer's Body was her chance to show off her talent.

I just watched it last night. It was actually part of what prompted me to say that.

Jennifer's Body was not a chance for her to show her talent. It was a chance for her to show off how hott she was. It seems like that is all her agents or studios want to let her do. In the few opportunities she gets to show off some acting skills in JB you can tell she's really giving it her all. Like she's thinking "this is the one scene where I actually get to act" and she doesn't blow it.

but so far the industry wont give her a chance. It's like they know her body is a box office draw so they want all the focus to be on that and not on her character or her acting skills.

I really hope she gets some heavier roles.

She’s playing a prostitute in her next movie Jonah Hex. She hasn’t done anything remotely interesting acting wise. Fox is still young and I think she has to pick better projects before another hot actress comes along and is labeled the new Hollywood “it girl” Then people will wonder whatever happened to what’s her name in the Transformers movies.

Well I never said anything about serious roles, more roles which fit him great but I can't say I've seen The Nines but I have seen Smokin' Aces, not a great film but I did like his role in it although I wouldn't say it was amazing but more of those type of roles would be glady appreciated. The internet! Fanboys across the country took notice of how hott she was and they voiced their urges loudly across the internet and she became known as the "google" girl.

As a result studio execs figure they can prostitute her, and males will come out of the woodwork to see it.

I agree she hasn't proven herself. I belive the industry has to give her a chance to do so. Although it's possible she is just making bad choices or has bad agents or something. I can't criticize her for taking Transformers though. What person in the industry hoping to make their mark would say no unless they were already huge?

If she wants to be perceived differently she should do a romantic comedy. I know that is not our cup of tea here, but it could be good for her. Then after that she should try to get some roles in other types of movies. She can still show off how hott she is but it can't seem like "here come see the movie for this hott chick" which is what Jennifer's Body was. That was all the movie had to offer really. A chance to eye google Megan Fox. I'm sure plenty of people saw it for that reason alone.
