Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Adrianne Palicki IS Mockingbird

It's aight I guess. Too bad these productions don't make slightly more obvious nods to their comic counterparts, like just a touch of white or if that's too much light grey. Looks cool none the less.

I love it. There's no way she's going to have the big open sleeves like she did in the comics. But it definitely fits in their spy world.

She hasn't had big open sleeves in the comics for years now. Her current costume is much better. The only real problem, and it's not even really with the costume per se, is that some artist just cannot help but draw her with excessive cleavage. The show costume even eliminates that potential problem.

Love, love, love her introduction. And yep... Bobbi/Simmons is so going to be a big ship. :funny:

I did chuckle at the irony of seeing Palicki land on an invisible jet. :hehe:

I've never really had a definitive favorite actor or actress. But I gotta say if I was to name a favorite actress i'd go with Adrianne Palicicki. I've enjoyed her in everything I've seen her in. Also coming in 2nd for my favorite actress would be Elizabeth Henstridge

I wish she had kept the blonde hair for the role, especially since everyone's a brunette on this show

Wish that middle grey section was white instead of grey, but otherwise a pretty cool suit.

EDIT: I mean really, what's so bad about this colour scheme? It works.

I didn't expect her to be made part of the team going forward. I hope that last. SHIELD has to be built back up. Showing some of the more accomplished agents would be a nice expansion of the MCU, as well as the organization. Clay Quartermain, anyone?

Adrianne was great though. A bit imposing as the Hydra security head and accomplished as an agent. I flipped when the batons came out. If she later combined them into a staff, I might have passed out. :awesome:

The costume designer said that they went with grey because white "looks bad on camera"
which I didn't quite understand, but whatevs
she looks damn good in the suit they gave her

So it is light grey then? I thought it was darker as it is in the top image and the bottom image is a fan edited revision.

Edit- After looking at images from next weeks episode it isn't anywhere near as light as it is in the second image above but closer to the darker grey from the top one.

In the general discussion thread there's a link to promo photos from the next episode

the costume looks pretty dark, much closer to the top image
so yes, you're correct sir

More white to the costume would have made it great, but its good and she looks better with blonde hair. I also liked her Black Widow-esque moment. Man, if only this show staarted using characters from the comics for their regular Shield members, I wouldnt be so hard with this show, I hope Adriana becomes a regular.

soooo excited with Adrianne/Mockingbird joining this show and potentially joining the movie universe too. Fingers crossed Marvel goes for it

So is she officially joining the show for majority of the season?

I assume so. She won't be listed as a main cast member, but probably a recurring guest star (like Mack and Tripp, who have shown up for every episode so far, despite being credited as guest stars)

Great to see Mockingbird in action. I wasn't expecting her to be Hunter Rider's ex wife. I do wish she had white in her costume though as it looks a bit too much like a SHIELD uniform. Maybe it can evolve as the show goes on or if she crosses over to movies. I don't see why white wouldn't look good. White would make it stand out much more and look more iconic.
