Don't think so? If, then it must have really been the meds kicking in at that point. She gets wounded badly at some point, but she's back in the new Avengers base in the end.

It was the other spoiler poster who said she dies. That is awesome if she survives though, the MCU needs more diversity :) and it'd be ironic if the team medic can't heal herself.

@DarkPhoenix82 Is Spader's Ultron a good/interesting/memorable villain ala, say, Loki or the Winter Soldier? Or does he follow the trend of more generic and uninteresting guys like Malekith and Ronan? Is he more developed as character in comparision to older villains?

I see. When does this occur, though? When it already looks like they're winning? It would be weird to leave if it seemed like they might lose and doom the entire planet. That's what confuses me.

Is it the Hulkbuster battle that makes him think he can't control the Hulk sufficiently, or is it something else?

How does Nat react?

They're remotely optimistic at this point, but I wouldn't say, it's completely logical. I didn't like that part too much tbh.

He's hesitant about the whole Hulk thing form he beginning. He just really doesn't wanna do it.

Nat is sad.

Well, he's basically Tony's evil offspring, so he's pre-developed a lot in that. He's memorable because of his personality, but in the end he's just another villain of the week.

DarkPhoenix, so the twins were given their powers because of the mind gem, correct? Did they go into any detail why whatever experients Hydra did with them (Using the mind gem/staff) worked on them and why it didn't work on the other subjects that apparently died (according to mid credit scene in CA:TWS)?

In other words, did they allude to why the twins are special? (IE are they inhumans, latent metahumans, ect) and the staff triggered a change?

Ok, thanks for all your info. It's appreciated. :)

No explanation given.

Alright, guys, that's it from me at this point. Someone got privately a little too close for comfort. It was nice here, hope you had much fun with the answers ;).

R_Hythlodeus, why were you so rude to DarkPhoenix??

Thank you DarkPhoenix for all of your input. A lot of us here appreciate you! :yay:

Thanks again, we appreciate it

It's quite left open, but there's no reason to assume he won't be back. He's had his family for literally years, under the radar of SHIELD with Fury's help. He's clearly there as often as possible. His wife and him talk about how he really wants to be part of the team and she supports him and thinks they need him, but he also wants to be with his family a lot. He's a good part of the team and satisfied with it at the end of the battle, he has no reason to leave for good. They don't talk about it, he just goes home with his stuff (which again makes sense since they all leave the Tower), and his wife hugs him happily with tears in her eyes. That all tells as that he's at least home for quite a while, which we know since she's pregnant at that time and the end scene at the new base takes place after the baby's been born. But we also know that he's in Civil War, so I stand -and nothing out there contradicts - that he's (just like in the comics) a full member of the team but only present at the must urgent need.
Pretty cool that we have a superhero with a family who for once isn't killed off to develop their character and give them motivation.

idk, I'm pretty sure AoS knew about that before writing the subplot, so there has to be some endgame with the nuSHIELD stuff.
but it makes the end of TWS completely irrelevant which should be a much bigger issue

Y'know, maybe the Theta Protocol hinted on last night's SHIELD ties in to what happens at the end of the film.

Can somebody explain to me about why Banner and Tony leave the team in the end? Much appreciated.

Marvel Studios is probably leaving it open ended, they can always explain it later. Or not.

Thank you for your time and reply.

Howdy comrade :yay:

Banner wants to be alone and doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Tony is tired of messing things up.

Sounds a bit like Iron Man 3 all over again.

Sounds like a reenactment of this scene...

Not quite as dramatic as Buffy actually killing the dude but the theme is the same lol sigh. I was hoping ElMayimbe's "it's very Buffy/Angel" when he described the romance was an exaggeration because it's not a trope that suits either character. :/

Plus there was:

and this which are quite similar in theme:

I don't think that Whedon can pull away from Buffy/Angel, sadly...:whatever:

The entire BW and Hulk thing sounds weird and out of the blue. Makes me think that she had a mission to watch Hulk or to control (or possibly trick) him so that he wouldn't be a threat.

Tony's gone. Banner's gone. QS has been 'Whedon'd', Thor's back home. Sounds like Ultron won, he tore them apart...from the inside.

The ending was so close at having 'Cap's Kooky Quartet' as the new Avengers. How sad.

Does Vision have any memorable lines?

Good question. I too am curious about this. Sounds like he spoke mostly at the end.

I'm glad that he's not really in the trailers and TV spots. If he was, I'd then feel that there was nothing left to the movie.

From what it seems:

Tony feels guilt at creating Ultron and all the lives lost so decides it's best if he steps away from it all.

Bruce doesn't want to be the Hulk still. The whole out of control moment seems to convince him that he's better off out of it. He asks Nat to come with him but she won't abandon the others in the fight, forces him to change and he then purposely crashes himself in the ocean and leaves. Nat joins Steve to start a new Avengers.

Sounds better than Loki to me.

TBH I didn't think it would be too difficult for Ultron to be more memorable than Loki. Loki's got personality and a role in another franchise, but he wasn't threatening, wasn't a serious enough villain.

Ultron has the personality, the crazy goals, and he's a freakin manic psychopath. To me that's better than any villain yet. In terms of the personal battle with the Avengers, you could look at it in a light of Ultron winning

Thanks. I hope he has some epic and memorable dialogue.

Well Whedon did say the team is left pretty effed up by the end of this
