Nice review, samsnee. I pretty much agree with everything you said. I also didn't find any of the fight scenes hard to follow or find and action sequences to be hollow like the Transformers, mainly due to all the great character building moments inside and also outside of this movie.

Here's a question for everyone that I haven't seen addressed: where did Scarlet witch and quicksilver get there powers? Are we just to believe they received them from hydra experimenting on them with the staff/mind gem? I was going in with the idea that they were inhumans...though it could be both really...The mind gem could have unlocked their kree genes somehow through the experimentation...any thoughts? Did I miss something?

Also: Strucker...did I hear right that at the beginning he said he was actually working for shield? Or was that a snide remark because hydra took over shield so he was basically working for both...but not the good side of shield...

I doubt it. The only caveat was he couldn't be referred to as a mutant.

Something I am wondering (it could have been discussed before, but I have stayed out of this forum until after seeing the movie...I do not live to be spoiled, I prefer the surprise at the theater)....but do people think that QS being killed in here was part of the deal with FOX to use him in the first place?

Could be...quicksilver will be in the next X-Men movie so it could be a way to help clear the confusion going forward. He also died in a very Joss "I kill likeable characters very shockingly/abruptly/effectively" Whedon way...it didn't feel forced, just very Joss, so I could imagine it was originally scripted that way and not due to contractual pressures with Fox...

From what I got....

The twins were genetically/magically changed by a combination of science and the scepter into what they were.

Strucker says he was working for SHIELD because many Hydra agents were secretly working within SHIELD until the events of CATWS.

Intersting. But I think the Eye of Agamotto will be a gem. So that would screw it up. Unless renamed.

Yeah it sounds like the twins were just normal and got experimented on. But who knows they can retcon later that the reason they survived while others didn't is because they are specials.

And yes, Strucker was implying that because HYDRA took over SHIELD, he was working for SHIELD.

I can't decide which scene I liked more. The opening action sequence or them defending the core. Right now slightly the latter since that also had the new members.

I would have loved to have seen Falcon fighting alongside War Machine. Who says Marvel doesn't have enough black superheroes?

I just had that thought myself.

I know that Fox's QS will be coming back for the next X-Men film. I think it may actually be Marvel just thinking to continue on with two QS's would just dilute or confuse things, and they just used him for what they needed for this one film.

I'm actually knida glad QS bit the dust, it will give Wanda an opportunity to come in to her own.

Saw the film this morning! As I expected from the spoilers I read and all leaked footage I watched, I absolutely loved this movie. I really do not understand some of the negative reviews or people saying they missed certain things or didn't understand certain things. It was all there, was able to follow no problem. Perfect blend of humor and seriousness and action. Some incredible visuals seriously, the special effects were incredibly well done in this film. Awesome moments that looked like a comic panel come to life.

Oh and side not I know it was a big topic with A1 people complaining about them communicating with one another. I always said it was obvious they were using some SHIELD type tech earpieces. Just because you don't see them being put in or see them in their ear doesn't mean they aren't there. It's SHIELD we are talking about and Stark technology. Super small ear pieces makes sense, and in this film before the final battle we actually see QS put an earpiece in his ear, so enough of that.

I feel like when some of you watch these films you don't pay enough attention and then you have negative things to say. Simply because you didn't put 2 and 2 together in your head or pay close enough attention.

BW: You'd never understand Cap. Someone you care about just decides to get on a plane and leave you for no good reason.
Cap: Um...

Ur trying too hard to defend the movie
Ima Thor fanboy and Thor owns in this film so its my favorite MCU film.

However its very flawed. Theres no imaginary spite. Its like a child to a Parent, perfect yet flawed

I'm really wondering if the train scene wasn't supposed to be an homage to Spider-Man 2. It was too similar for it to be a coincidence.

So, safe to say that the team at the end will be Cap's side of the Avengers in CW?

Cept' for Rhody, off course.

The earpieces never bugged me either. Like you said you see QS putting his in, and Cap puts his hand up to his ear as well. Its a little naive to assume they wouldn't have a way to communicate as a team. Also, if you're worrying about them talking you're just nitpicking. There are enough larger issues to worry about

I doubt it, but I do think the fact that there's another Quicksilver running around in the Fox-verse played a part in why he was chosen to be the one who bites the dust.

Fighting and stopping a train is pretty damn common. Or should we argue Nolan ripped off Spider-Man as well.

Pretty much. But Vision hasn't been confirmed for Civil War....yet.

It wasn't just the train scenario in general. Ultron destroyed the controls and bailed much like Doc Ock did. There was also a shot that showed the end of the line, complete with a buffer just like in Spider-Man 2.

Anyone else a little bothered that Ultron was the one who cut off Klaw's arm, and not T'chaka?

Exactly and like I said it's the MCU, they're using technology and what not created by SHIELD and Stark. I just always assumed ok it's a super small ear piece because, well cause it just makes sense haha. But I digress I'm with you it never bothered me before cause I always knew there was a logically way to explain it. If people would just use their heads, instead of nitpicking.

You never seem to understand criticism and/or different opinions - Never thought you'd start now :oldrazz:

There's a difference between people using logic and criticizing something in a constructive way over people nitpicking or being negative and overreacting just for the sake of it. I'm not saying that's all people cause it obviously isn't. But I know who those particular people are, so I try to just ignore and not bother with them haha.
