Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - 3x17 - "The Team" - Discussion Thread

Great episode. This season just keeps on getting better.

Well, damn. Thought Lincoln might be the one but nope Daisy got enthralled by Hive. What a twist! Never expected that.

Wonder how next weeks episode plays out.

Not to quote Quicksilver but I never saw that coming.

It was a well written surprise for a show that needed a boost IMO. The season started off great but has lapsed ever since the Bobbi and Hunter forced solo-spin off episode.

Kickass episode. One of the best in the entire series' run. After a bit of a lull in the middle of this season, SHIELD is back, baby!

He was absolutely great in this episode. Badass when using his powers, noble in his decision-making (particularly because he's a doctor who understands infection), but still flawed in how he acted. I thought he was great.

I wasn't feeling well yesterday, so I watched the episode today without election coverage (have to say, the comments here were quite amusing). This episode was quite fun. Hive's infection is quite scary. In retrospect, you could find things to point to with Daisy, but even when she was self-serving for Hive, everything she did was plausible. Well done by the writers.
Agreed with all of the above.

I watched the episode live, and though I didn't peg Daisy as the one turned, I wasn't 100% convinced it was Lincoln either.

The funny thing was, my mom missed the episode Tuesday night, so I watched it a second time yesterday afternoon so she could see it. As soon as it's hinted that one of the Inhumans may be infected, she's just going on and on about it being Lincoln. I'm sitting there on the other side of the couch just trying to keep a straight face and not say a word (because I can't say "just watch and see" because that may have given the twist away that it was someone else). So quite an experience seeing the ep a second time with someone seeing the ep for their first time *lol*.

I agree with the sentiment about Lincoln. This was the first episode where he actually felt like more than a cardboard cutout. Great performance and writing.

Sad cause I think he'll be the one to die though...

This episode was so cool. It was a real thrill. First you had the Secret Warriors being awesome in action, and then the planted seeds of distrust between them and the rest of SHIELD, and then the big reveal and climax. It was very gripping.

The thing that made it plausible was the suggestion that Lincoln was turned before this episode. As soon as that happened I went "of course, that makes so much sense." So I thought they did a good job selling it.

So we have our own little civil war. :) Good episode, one I will probably watch again. It still seems strange that there is no mention od Deathlok or the aircraft carrier and the remaining crew. Unless I missed something, they were not killed to the last man in the S2 finale.
Daisy being possesed is surely funnier than other options.
As for Lincoln, I don`t get the hate, he is not my favourite character or actor, but he is not that bad neither. :) His powers bother me more than he as a person, I just dont think you can lift someone, grab him and throw him around with electricity. But I am no scientist. :)

I predict that we won't have to wait long to see Deathlok in action once again.

It would make sense that they would now bring in one of the few super powered guys on their contacts list that Hive can't control.

Yeah, get Creel and Deathlok up in this b***h

Totally, we need more powered people and cull some of the old cast (May and Simmons I'm looking at you).

Hush you! :cmad: :argh:
If May ever dies it should be being a badass, fighting the Black Order in Infinity War.
And Simmons should never die... NEVAH!!!

Happy for her to die being badass, but if no one ever dies then there are nothing really at stake each episode, or series for that matter.

That and, she did reveal she was able to bypass her pod's security because she had designed it herself. Which means she could have also just as easily disabled audio in Lincoln's pod and put the video feed on a loop (which she did before when she was only the team's hacker, prior to powers).

Oh yeah, forgot about that!

Does ABC/Disney edit/change their episodes from aired versions to the Blu-Ray versions?
I noticed in S3E17 The Team, that the aired version had two bits of dialog edited out of the Blu-Ray version. While the Secret Warriors are running around the base, at one point, Mac says to Elena(Yo-Yo), 'speak English', and she responds with something like 'speak Spanish'.
These two bits of dialog have been edited out of the Blu-Ray versions and replaced with something else.
Does anyone know why ABC/Disney did this? Are there any other times that an episode has been changed?
Just curious.....
