Where do people get that someone is going to die in the next episode? The promo doesn't seem to imply that, unless I'm missing something. The blurb about the train being "...headed for certain death..." is pretty much meaningless because that's like every episode where the team is in danger, yada yada.

Coulson saying "Hang on... just hang on" could be interpreted that way. But I dunno, I was just making a joke about it in the other thread, not implying that's what was actually going to happen.

I think it's being assumed/speculated about because the voiceover says "Series changing final act" and then it shows someone firing a gun/hearing gunshots then cuts to Coulson holding *someone* and saying "Oh god, hold on, just hold on".

So I can see why people are starting to speculate on it, but of course - as we know - teasers/trailers/promos sometimes like to yank our chains around

You're right, the portentous voice-over is probably the cause of the death spec. Plus there's a shot of Simmons crying in Fitz's arms at the end of the promo. Going by prior precedent I'm fairly certain that no one dies and that the series won't be changed much (if at all) by the final act. The stars tweet about filming upcoming episodes so fans can tell by what they've said who's going to be around after next episode.

I would be surprised if they kill someone off. My vote would go toward Ward if they did decide to kill someone. Best guess is someone does die but it will be someone introduced in that episode.

I think it might have been very low levels, like they said about the tessaract in the avengers.. probably not enough to make ward 'hulk out'

this show takes too many breaks, this is what, the 4th time they've played a rerun instead of a new episode?? (outside of the break)
I'd rather they just made the winter break longer and give us solid stretches of new episodes

I agree, they could have had a two or three week longer hiatus instead of coming back with two episodes and then taking another longish break. Now the decision of the UK channel carrying AOS makes more sense. It's better from their point of view (and for ratings, probably) to wait until they can run the final 12 episodes without a break.


When you think of it, with only ten episodes remaining between now and the end of the season in late May there will have to be several more breaks. By the time it's all said and done, ABC may repeat most of the episodes before season's end.

True so it makes me wonder if that poster from Imbd was correct about them only two or three episodes a month until May.

Who said anything about Hulking out? You CAN still die of Gamma exposure in the MCU. Sterns even explains it in TIH.

i dont think any one in the comics has died of gamma exposure.. there are probably more hulks formed by exposure

Hope they secured that berserker staff real well hope May doesn't reveal she can summon it like Thor can summon his hammer!

I would like to see the Berserker Staff again, though. Like when they are outmatched by Blizzard and Graviton (and Deathlok?) in the season finale, May or Ward should grab it to even the odds.
