It's about as random as everything else that's happened so far.

Personally, I like the fact that the writers have thrown us a curveball almost as much as I like Melinda as a cougar.

When you think about it, though, May and Ward have spent some down time together. They talked several times about missions, how to handle Skye, etc. After Skye's booty call with Miles/betrayal of the team, Ward pointedly ignored the little weasel while he and May shared yet another bottle of whiskey and didn't talk about their feelings. May & Ward have drinking, emotional trauma, not talking and sex in common, what more do they need?

Exactly. The Ward/Skye was the predictable (and boring) way to go. Though it could still happen for all we know...

Oh, it probably will. The writers will start throwing around that "destiny" crap they always have for the couple they're hellbent on pushing, like it's a tween dramedy on the CW or something. But at least they've slowed things down on the pairing off stuff for now. Most shows take years to develop solid couples, AOS was looking like it was going to do that in weeks, with all six characters. They were barreling ahead way too fast.

Eh couples in shows don't really matter to me. Sure people in casts will hook up but maybe I haven't watched enough shows of this type to this person x and person y are going to hook up. Just give me a good show lol.
