Have to say, I kinda cheered a little when Ward was going off on Skye for doing nothing but talking all the time...

Love how Tahiti has gone from a running gag, to a point of curiosity, to a full-blown nightmare so suddenly.

I may have missed it...was the fact they were searching for Asgardian artifacts right after the events of Thor 2 just a coincidence? I'll be watching it over again, but I never caught why exactly these punk kids suddenly had such insight into find the Berserker Staff.

Oh, and anyone think those punks were like the Hydra equivalent of Neo-Nazis? I don't know, just a thought, seeing as the similarities between that group and Neo-Nazis was obvious, and considering the MCU uses Hydra as a stand-in for Nazis, it made me wonder if there was some relation there.

Essentially,he was a chubby kid that got picked on by his sadistic brother.
Is that how you interpreted it? Ward's big brother didn't pick on him, he picked on both of their youngest brother and threatened Ward if he tried to protect him. As someone who's father threatened him if he tried to stick up for his sister who's getting an unwarranted ass beating, it's pretty traumatizing...

Next week's episode looks interesting as well. Any ideas as to who the blonde girl is?

Seems like bad luck is following her, huh? On a whim, I Googled "marvel bad luck" and came up with Black Cat (Felicia Hardy), who is blonde... But I'd expect that character's rights belong to Sony (at least the film rights...).

i liked the asgardian reveal. dude had man hands to crush that knife.

Now i know where i saw that professor dude before. the dr from Ghostbusters 2!

He was also in Dragonslayer and the voice of Doc Ock on the spectacular Spider-Man.

For all the crap Skye's backstory gets,It's infinitly more interesting than Ward's.

I sort of thought the bully kid who threatened the other kid looked more like Ward. Is it possible that was Ward?

Wow! And May must be really dealing with something that she could handle that staff like that! :wow:

They were actually
Cleaning up London from the events from Thor 2 at the very beginning

so now I have some what of a time frame to place Thor 2 on my Marvel Time line with Season one of Aos

Another great episode, finally got some good Ward development and May is next week if I remember correctly. So we will finally have all our character centric episodes done for the most part an ready to move on to some hopefully good storylines. Keep it coming!

I like how the Asgardian dude was merely a lowly mason. Not every Asgardian belongs to the royal court.

Maybe Coulson is Asgardian but doesn't know it or is some other kind of alien.

May's secret is that she was probably the one responsible for killing Skye's parents & has been dealing with that everyday or she is Skye's mother.

That was a cool episode. One of the coolest in the past few weeks. The character development is starting to show up which I like. The May/Ward thing at the end threw me a bit, but I feel like they're "bros" so nothing steamy will come of that.

Also, on a personal opinion, they're dragging the "what really happened to Coulson" thing too far. I'd rather get a cool hint every few episodes with little attention paid to it in between rather than a bunch of little, seemingly pointless hints. The former suggestion would build up the suspense more I think.

It's cool that they had an actual Asgardian show up. The closest thing we've had to a comic book character in a couple of weeks. Next week's episode looks interesting as well. Any ideas as to who the blonde girl is?

 We got two comic characters on last weeks episode!

Anyway, here are a few thoughts about the episode:

-Thor's "off the grid" apparently. Pretty sure that's codename for "introducing Jane Foster to Mjolnir and I'm not talking about that hammer."
-Earlier there was discussion about how horribly offensive a Vishnu joke is & how that wouldn't fly if it was a Christianity joke. And then the episode came out and revealed that one of the "saints" is a horny Asgardian. I just wanted to give an I told you so remark. See, Marvel IS an equal opportunity offender! :cwink: :oldrazz:
-Confirmed Roxxon appearance next episode!
-Seriously, guys, this whole "there are no comic references" crap needs to stop. The last episode had Victoria Hand, Jasper Sitwell, the Overkill, LMD easter eggs, and S.H.I.E.L.D. offshoot easter eggs. This episode had a TON of Asgardian elements. At the very least we're getting further Roxxon references in the next episode. If you still think that there are no references to the comics going on, please invest in a Marvel Unlimited subscription.

Forgot to mention this before, but I absolutely LOVED that Nick Fury was advertising the Quicksilver card during the commercial break. I almost spit my soda out.

WHERE did you hear there wasn't going to be Comicbook references? I recall no SUPERHEROES in the series other than who and what SHIELD finds (basically newer tv stuff)

People in the forum have been complaining about the lack of comic characters/references quite a bit lately. It's been kinda ridiculous. I'm just trying to point out that we're getting way more comic references than some users will admit.

I've been digging this show, particularly since it has an Avengers vibe (I'm assuming that's the Wheadon influence). I really don't get all the complaining and low ratings...

Good episode tonight

so Thor knows that Coulson is alive?

I'm thinking May is Skye's mom.

"I see it every day." She sees Skye every day? Skye is half asian? Maybe it's my buddy Jack Daniels talking but sometimes he is right.

It would be one thing if the complaints made sense (which a portion of them do), but when a great deal of the complaints are factually wrong it's just a bunch of nonsense. The low ratings can partially be attributed to not so great advertising, competition, fans not realizing that the second episode was the weakest one & it's consistently getting better, and the show being on ABC. It's actually doing quite well for an ABC show.

Fixxxer my post is actually correct on almost every level and theres nothing you have to back up your lame claim

S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn't been able to get in touch with Thor, so probably not. THOR TDW SPOILERS

Based on the scene at the end of TDW, dude's probably... preoccupied.
