Haha that's funny, I love both shows. And I didn't get to finish this episode yet but I have it recorded. Glad to see it was another good one!

Is next week the mid season finale?

It is part 1 of a 2 part mid season finale but yes.

So let's make sure I've got this straight...

- Particle Accelerator experiments with opening extra-dimensional gateways a la TDW.
- Creepy-Dude falls in love with Quality Manager Hannah, and reports a non-existent error so she will visit him.
- Somehow, a real accident happens (I'm a bit confused on this) trapping Creepy-Dude between Earth (Midgard) and either Hel and/or Muspelheim. Three others are killed.
- Not-quite-dead Creepy-Dude continues returning to Earth to "protect" Hannah.

lol LOVED this ep!!!
Glad to see May has a sense of humor! lol

No poll again!:cmad:

Well,May finally got her episode.I generally liked it.The highlight for me was FitzSimmons trying to build the prank.:woot:

I Knew Coulson was the only one who would know the true story about "The Cavalry".

The references to God and so forth were....interesting.I don't quite get why May said "He (meaning God)won't forgive you."How does she know/why would she think that?

Overall, the best thing I can say about the show is it's consistent. There hasn't been an outright bad episode yet.I guess by the same token, there really hasn't been a mind-blowingly awesome episode yet either. But I'm glad the quality is always there.

Yeah. And I guess he "released" Hannah and got stuck in whatever netherworld he was going in and out of.

"You know what I think? She needs to get laid."

Oh, Skye.

So dude is a teleporter? Is what he said a reference to how Nightcrawler and Azrael teleport via a hell dimension?

Skye said the one thing you should never say about a powerful woman. That is gonna come back to bite her and I cannot wait to see her reaction.

skye is being kinda annoying in this episode. Normally I like her, but her jabs at May are getting to me.

She's always full of snark but she went over the line tonight. May has got something for her, though. I'm really interested in how Skye views her "relationship" with Ward. They really don't have one aside from being colleagues, but she's the type to think there's more to it than there actually is.

May with the shaving cream! :lmao:

The best part of that was that she knows no one will ever suspect her, though Coulson will probably guess it.

mmmm .... new agent in 2 weeks..... not sure if they can trust him ..... SHIELD implosion in CATWS

Oh yeah ......

And did I mention that Coulson said "616" in tonight's episode ?

Oh yes I did :woot:

Coulson also called the sleep dart that May fired at the "gifted" a "Xavier device," didn't he?

Oh, and "new agent" in the next episode: you don't say... :cwink:

The discussion of God and forgiveness was all from the perspectives of the various characters. Hannah and Tobias believed in a vengeful and unforgiving God due to their own guilt over the accident. Tobias, knowing that he was responsible for causing the accident due to his tampering, naturally thought he had been consigned to Hell for his sins. May's view of God was similar because she feels guilt over whatever methods she used to wipe out the terrorists holding her team and a hostage. Skye latched onto the concept of a loving and forgiving God to help her reject the vengeful one she had been warned of as a child. All of that made sense from a psychological perspective for each individual.

I almost got upset at Skye's reference to nuns teaching her about God's wrath in the orphanage. None of the nuns I knew would ever have done that, but then I knew academics and not the penguin stereotype the writers had in mind.

Was that the Negative Zone that we got a glimpse of? :D Maybe a certain prison is in this show's future.

If superpowered Extremis Brother becomes a full fledged member in the next ep. maybe he and Skye will pull a Ward/May if they're off the table. :o

Actually, May's monologue and comments about "God won't forgive you" weren't her words: they were Coulson's.

Earlier, Coulson had talked to Skye about the incident in Bahrain where May earned her "Cavalry" nickname. Coulson told Skye that afterward, when May was beating herself up about whatever went down there, he started spouting some nonsense to her to help her get her courage back.

So at the end of this episode, when Coulson asked May what she told Tobias, she said, "The same thing you told me in Bahrain," and gave him a cold look. Meaning that she knew full well that Coulson's "pep talk" back then had been so much bull****, but it worked.

Is it just me or did the house in the beginning look like the one from X-2?

They're bringing back J. August Richards' character? Really?

I took that to mean that Coulson had told May to let it go, to let go of her guilt over what she had done. Hannah and Tobias were talking about their belief that God was punishing them for their misdeeds and May responded to that, but the advice to let go was what Coulson had said to her.

Tomorrow I need to rewatch the episode online because the part where Tobias was attacking them on the Bus was screwed up on the feed here. We didn't miss much but it was annoying.

ten minutes in. so far, I like it, but it is not as good as last week. maybe it gets better in the next 30 minutes.

I actually liked mischievous, pranking FitzSimmons in this episode (even if May got the last laugh). If you watch closely, after they tell Skye the made-up story, Simmons just barely starts to smile, then quickly realizes, smooths her face, and turns around, before fully smiling. Subtle and effective.

Decent episode. I hope the whole dimension hopping is covered more.
