Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents Of SHIELD - Episode2.19 - The Dirty Half Dozen

So...

The Avengers got their intel on the Hydra base from Coulson...

Nice.

I don't know about the facilities and all, but it might be true that Coulson was only talking to May's ex because he needed help with his carving. Or it might be another lie. Who knows? It's hard to tell with all of those secrets.

I dont think Ward will be redeemed. He works best now as the mercenary for hire. They even did the whole sob story apology, sorry for breaking up the family thing where the redemption could be accepted and then ir was played perfectly with everyone still rejecting him. I laughed out loud at that part.

I'm sure he'll factor into future storiesand maybe even help the team with out them knowing but I doubt we ever see him on the Bus all buddy buddy with the team again. Too much bad blood.

I like where we've gotten to with Ward, and really everyone else too. These last few episodes will be fun, really hoping no one dies!

I was a bit down on SHIELD after some revelations in AoU, I began to question just how "connected" the MCU was. Especially after Whedon's comments recently. But this episode explained all of the questions I had and more. Loved this episode and it restored my quaking loyalty to full strength.

So much awesome tonight: Skye doing an epic fight against HYDRA goons, Loki's scepter coming into play, Coulson dropping the mic on Gonzalez with his Fury and Hill news, and Avengers Assembled (again.)

That scene with skye was just as good as the DD scene, I mean that was one of the best scenes of the year, I had to rewind 3 times just to see everything that happened.
Kevin Tancharoen really should be directing more of these episodes damn that was awesome.

I agree, the scene where skye goes Super Tom Clancy Black ops rainbow six ass kicking was epic.

All this did was get me even more hyped for AoU in theaters Friday. I might skip class and catch it close to campus in the day and then take my little brother later that night lol. Then probably see it again with my cousin I usually see the Marvel films with.

This second half of the season has been great, and now I'm really starting to get into AoS. I've come to really enjoy the whole original team.

Nice.

This is the second time now Coulson has managed to assemble the Avengers. :hehe:

I think Coulson was genuine to May about the reason he was seeing May's ex (I also don't think it was any of her business - therapy can be a very personal thing, I don't think she had any type of 'right to know' regardless of who the therapist was....especially since it's not like they're still married)

This reminds me, what year does the DD show take place?
DD takes place at least 2 years after the events of Avengers (Karen says in the first episode that the past two years have been very good for [the construction] business). Given that it's unlikely reconstruction would have started the day after the battle of New York, I think it's reasonable to make ti at least a 2 1/2 years. I get the impression that season 1 takes place over the course of a couple months, at least, so I'd say mid-late 2014 at the earliest. Or, if nothing else, the last episode could end roughly 'real time' (when the show was released) right before the events of AOU (I believe the showrunners stated that it does take place before the events of AOU)

Loved the episode (and was extremely upset to find the SHH forums down this morning... I didn't have anyone to talk to about it!!!).... Simmons is really REALLY pissing me off. I understand her reasoning, though I don't agree with her actually trying to carry it out - let alone while they're ON A MISSION. She put EVERYONE else at jeopardy with her stunt. I hope that Ward (of all people) saying how disappointed he was that she would stoop that low makes her think long and hard about what she did/what she's become.

Loved Coulson's 'spoiler drop' at the end, and Skye's Sonic the Hedgehog reference :)

Edit: Oh, and as indicated above - really sad about SHIELD 616 :( It might not have had the 'character' of a ship like Serenity on Firefly, but I still loved it.

Hopefully whatever ride they get next will be suitable for the Son of Coul, appropriately badass.................. and have a fishtank

Bobbi didn't seem surprised to know that Fury is still alive.

Hers an easy way to fix the ward issue

Coulson is sitting at his computer. suddenly an e-mail pops up from Garrett.

it is adrressed to Fury but copies to Hill and Coulson.

it contains a video file. It shows Ward being brainwashed to only accept orders from Garrett. then Garrett says he programmed the e-mail to get sent once every year unless he stopped it(or words to this effect). because of the upheavel that happened to shields computers the e-mail was not sent until now. Garrett made this several years ago to absolve Ward. I don't think the Garret we know would make this but he might if it was several years ago and he was (then) feeling sorry for what he did to Ward.

i'm sure there are some holes or refinings that could be done by the shows writers but this scenario might work-it's as plausible as anything else on this show-lol

Either she's been working with Phil all along even through the Real SHIELD stuff, or she's actually been with Fury this whole time.

BTW, I think someone was asking for a screenshot of when the ABC logo was instead the Avengers "A" - here's one:
