Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of SHIELD TV series for ABC - General Discussion - LEVEL 10

New to the forums but a massive fan of the show, particularly the last few episodes. One thing I'm slightly worried from this summary is the line about Ward's true allegiances. I really hope they don't make him a triple agent, it would take the fun out of his character which until recently, was bland and uninteresting to me.

He's better bad than he ever was good. Not to mention the fact he's gunned down five agents, broken into the Fridge and allowed all manner of prisoners and dangerous equipment to fall into Hydra's hands
Welcome to the forums Dan!
Well I don't think HAND and her men were SHIELD. She wouldn't have want wanted to kill Garrett BEFORE getting him to the fridge after she just told Coulson she'd bring him to the fridge in other words

So basically, Garrett thinks Ward is working for him whilst in actuality, he's working for whoever the true Clairvoyant is? Interesting theory for sure. I'm not sold on Garrett being the Clairvoyant so I'm certainly open to the possibility that its someone else and Ward is working for them.

I'm not convinced Nash is the Clairvoyant but neither am I opposed to the idea of it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone else entirely. But as you say, that would sate the desire to see Ward remain a bad guy whilst adding some ambiguity about his true motives.

Thank you :)

There's so many different strands to this storyline, I love it. Hand was working for another faction then maybe. Or some rogue element of SHIELD tasked with eliminating HYDRA by any means necessary?

I'm not sure who is trustworthy or not, even on the team itself.

What if Nash waned to be brought back in the hope that his disability would be healed? He wanted to be fixed, and by Ward killing him he can now be brought back.

Ward being a bad guy is the best thing they did wih the character all season. They finally brought him back to his episode 1 roots. I always thought they built up a great calculative spy character in episode 1 only to reduce him to simple muscle in every episode after that. He's had a few moments here and there where that character came out, but it was mostly just glimpses. Now he is consistently written that way, and I love that. Even Coulson's line at the beginning about him being the "best spy since Romanov" makes so much more sense now.

What if... instead of Ward working for the Clairvoyant, or Garrett being the Clairvoyant... Ward is the Clairvoyant?

So the twist is not that he's some kind of triple agent or just going along with Garrett, but that he's even worse than we all think, and that Garrett is actually working for him unknowingly.

And it's not just that the Clairvoyant has high level access. He actually had eyes into Bus and all the goings on with Coulson because he was on the Bus itself.

At this point, I think its unwise to rule out any theory categorically.

I think the only thing I'm hoping they avoid are the cliches of triple agents and the like.

I'd like Ward to become a multi-season villain and maybe to do that, he needs to get out from under Garrett and SHIELD's feet.

That would be pretty awesome, only ruined by the fact I just read it before it might happen in the show.

It reminds of the Darren Shan books which I read when I was younger, where a group of vampires are searching for a ruler of their evil counterparts (the Vampaneze(?)), an old friend of the main character says he will help, they then work together for a while and then we find out he is working for the Vampaneze and then much later we find out he was the Vampaneze Lord the whole time. I remember 10 year old me's mind was blown.

Would not be a bad idea, plus the actor has done TV very recently.

Not bad.

I truly believe either Ward or Garrett will end up being the Grim Reaper. If its Garrett, he may be a partial cyborg already. if its Ward, then it could be because his brother is already tied to Hydra and needs to be brought back to "life" ala Coulson...

I am fully on Board with Garrett simply running a distraction for the real clarvoiant... much like he tried to sell the paralyzed man as the clairvoyant and tried to push Hand as the clairvoyant.... he is supposed to be running misdirection and if its him that has to be the patsy, so be it

Well it sounds like ol' Triplett is the grandson of Gabe Jones. Nice connection.

Does that mean he's the grandson of Peggy Carter? Has it been explicitly stated in the MCU what Howling Commando that Peggy married? I'm pretty sure in the comics its Gabe.

i dont think it was mentioned who she married Six

Ah. Well, I'm sure that was intentional. They'll probably go more into it in her tv show.

since Maria Hill is going to be on Agents of Shield for 2 episodes, I am expecting her to not be killed by Ward in like 2-4 seconds.

Not related to anything but
Have any of you guys been on shield forums on television without pity?
I swear , their hate ***** for Skye is rock solid.
It's unbelievably ridiculous
