Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of SHIELD TV series for ABC - General Discussion - LEVEL 11 - Part 10

Clear sign that it's the final season.

People have been saying that for the past 3 years lol...Someone at Disney really wants this show to get 10 seasons for some reason.....cause ABC wants to get rid of it.

I have lost enough shows for reasons like SyFy didn't have ownership rights that I am fine with Uncle Walt giving me the gift of a little bit more content

This is either the final season, or they're tiding over until it can be put on the Disney streaming service.

Hopefully they won't have to deal with a limited budget next season...let it go back to normal levels (adjusted for the season length though). one of the reason's it's felt like it's dragged a bit this season was that it's 99.99% indoors. Same sets (dressed differently) as well

I have no idea what the **** they can do from an ante upping standpoint.

I'm a little surprised. I'm sure they'll continue to use those extra episodes to hammer in how perfect daisy is.

Yay to a 6th season!!!

I think 13 episodes will be good for the show. Will prevent it from dragging and make it more focused.

Do we know when Season 6 will air? Will we have to wait for it to begin in like, January or will it be later so it can coincide with A4?

Surprised it got renewed. I thought this was the last season. Glad to hear it will be 13 episodes. The long seasons are what ruined previous years

My bet is that it is timed for the movie release. A new season or early winter release points towards more of a Year of Hell wipe it away continuity wise season

Now that another season is guaranteed, I have my theory for this season's ending. (IW spoilers):
After the gang prevents the end of the world and triumphs over the bad guys, it's declared that now SHIELD will return to power, not as an underground group of a dozen or so but a full agency like the old days, but this time without the stink of Hydra underneath. This will set up for SHIELD to be a bigger player in Phase 4 and beyond. However, just as they finish that meeting, half of the main characters...disappear. I've had this in mind for a while but it wouldn't quite make sense to end on a cliffhanger they can't resolve.

It would be better if it airs at the same time as Avengers 4. Any earlier and it has all the associated problems that comes with the end of Infinity War. Airing at the same time avoids those problems.

Lets not forget Captain Marvel in March which Coulson will appear in. I can definitely see it coming January/Feb in order to have connections to CM and A4.

I am afraid of it being a single pod, like an Agent Carter or Inhuman season both of which dragged to me.

They could get two pods (two six episode story arcs) and use the 13th finale episode to wrap up the series.

I would like to see AIM feature as villains for a arc if Marvel Studios isn't planning on using them again.

With the snipes against Hydra again I doubt if there are any Hammer or AIM plans. But unless the season shows a reconciliation between TV and movies I doubt that it would be allowed if asked for.

By summer, do they mean May? Or would it maybe start in April just before Avengers 4?

Interesting, from a Senior Writer at EW.

@NatalieAbrams

ABC isn't looking at #AgentsofSHIELD season 6 as the final season, FYI.

I see they're thinking of converting it to a Summer from here onward. Interesting.

maybe transitioning into a shorter season summer show could be a cool thing for the show...?
