Alan Wake.

A teaser before the unveil tonight.

It looks awesome! I love how there's new enemy types & weapons!

Some new details regarding the game from the Remedy forum.

- There'll be a game mode called "Fight Till Dawn". Essentially, it's a Horde-mode a la Gears of War, you fight various waves of enemies with a huge supply of weapons and ammo.

- Remedy plans to do more Alan Wake, though there are obviously no details yet.

It says that the first game was combination of Stephen King and Lost while American Nightmare is in spirit of Tarantino's From Dusk Till Dawn and Pulp Fiction.

It says that AN expands the world of Alan Wake and contains lots of info about the events after the first game.

This isn't going to be the last game in the series so even more Alan Wake is confirmed.

It also teases pc-players with possibility of positive news in the near future.

And now the spoilers (mainly the setting of the game):

[BLACKOUT]The location is Arizona and Alan is trapped in a Night Springs episode which he wrote.[/BLACKOUT]

Wow that all sounds really awesome. I should go buy Alan Wake again, I frickin loved that game.

I'm calling it now: Alan Wake 2 will be a launch title for the next Xbox. Probably alongside a new Gears game.

Well, that seems to be more than just the offshoot I was expecting. Could be pretty fun.

That Horde-esque mode definitely sounds fun and it's refreshing that it's not set in Bright Falls. Judging from the trailer there'll be some variations of the enemies but I wish Remedy will take a step further and having enemies that aren't humanoid or animals forms, like monsters. Hopefully we'll have more of this XBLA titles to tide us over until the sequel will come.

Yeah my main concern was that it was just going to be some sort of side scroller or something throwaway but with Mr. Scratch apparently being involved and the game as a whole pretty much looking like Alan Wake season 2 I am totally on board for this. I am really relieved to see this series keep going.

That would be an amazing launch. I really hope there's a melee in this game. I don't want like an instant kill melee like in Cod but just something to fend off the attackers when you run out of ammo, the dodge is awesome and very useful but melee would be even better.

I'd be okay with that. I should really replay the first game though, despite loving it I've only played it once.

I played through it once and then got most of the way through on the hardest difficulty but never beat it a second time. I hated the dlc for it because it just all that stupid floating word stuff so I'm definitely looking forward to this.

i'm getting a craving for some double bubble.

Just what is this? Is it a sequel? Prequel? Or neither? Does it answer any questions from the last game?

Think of it as more of a spin off. I don't think it'll answer any questions from the first game.
