I was just thinking about Jeremy Irons! Now there would be an Alfred with some fire in him! I could go for Alan Rickman or John Hurt too, and John Hurt would survive to the end of a film for a change.

I would never have thought of Brosnan. that's a great idea. I do like the idea of a hand-on alfred though. Bit more like he is in the comics like No man's land for example.
