I was fine with it until he said that there's a table that is "nerd" exclusive that he could sit at...
Granted he used the word could... but it may turn out to be like that other mini like I stated before or it could be that Pete is too much of a nerd ever by these characters standards....

Hopefully we will see whether Pete was a member of the science club at his high school. There had to be one. Or was he the Big Bang Theory's "Sheldon", the geek that gets on geeks' nerves? Oh well...

Learning to Crawl...
Oh look, another flashback where Pete isn't the only "nerd" in school and will probably laugh with the rest of the school when Flash picks on them...

Ok, Learning to Crawl takes place, according to Mr. Slott as soon as Amazing Fantasy #15 ends...
I wonder what that means for Amazing Fantasy #'s 16,17 &18?

^ I read Slott say in one of the interviews it's after Amazing Fantasy 15 and through Amazing #3. There's a lot of places everything could fit in lol. I remember some issues of Untold Tales were taking place inside actual issues of Amazing.

I'm pretty darn stoked for all this stuff. Superior has been ramping up wonderfully, and all the stuff when Peter will be back sounds like a real treat. Back to the core. That's the kind of stuff that appeals to me the most. And that's really what Superior's been about, too. Woo, Slott!

Don't know if this is needed (how many "untold stories" can you run?) But, Dan has shown a great knowledge and appreciation of continuity, so this should be interesting.

Untold tales are fine unless they're used for retconning the hell out of everything.

Aloha,
I've always LOVED Untold Tales of Spider-Man as written by Busiek. It really served to flesh out the early days. The mini series With Great Power, also took place around AF#15 but when you read it, there is a retcon going on like no bodies business. As long as Slott uses this to bring us up to speed on some things happening in the present, I'm on board.

That's what it was!
I hope that doesn't get mentioned at all...

But I also hope that this new "unveiled" history doesn't remove Amazing Fantasy #'s 16,17 or 18...

It sounds more and more like Peter comes out of this whole thing
with some form of amnesia.

There's a free digital comic called [BLACKOUT]"Spider-Man: Who Am I?"[/BLACKOUT] coinciding with the release of ASM that links the end of Superior with the new ASM. It involves Spider-Man (Peter)
"waking up" and finding himself in costume in the middle of a bank robbery.

My guess is he has to slowly put back together the pieces.

it's bad enough for Peter to regain his role as Spider-Man after all that's happened with Otto, as well as all the consequences of Otto's actions, but to have to deal with it all in a possibly partial state of amnesia only seems to REALLY increase the WTF?!? factor for him... I think I'd really hate to be in HIS shoes...

So much for Peter/Spider-Man being the "EveryMan" hero...

Well, the REAL Peter is still out there somewhere. We may get another Peter vs Peter fight in about a year...

Real question. Why are you eliminating the "every man" hero aspect?

Everyone is going on this assumption that Ock was right about those memories taking on a life of their own. He could have been wrong for all we know.

Dan confirmed that Ghost Peter is not really Peter.
As I'm on my phone, I have to wait to find it when I'm back on my computer.

So Superior is really ending? I wonder if my subscription will automatically switch to All-New Amazing...

Yeah because I have a feeling that he was reiterating what Ock assumed in Superior #9 and wondering if people are misconstruing it.

So Superior is really ending? I wonder if my subscription will automatically switch to All-New Amazing...

It's been a while since I've had a subscription but they will either switch it over automatically or give you the option to change it to something else for the remainder of the subscription.

If Ghost Peter isn't really Peter, then what is it supposed to be?

People seem to believe that if Ock was right and these are just rogue memories that are taking a life of their own, and when Ghost Peter takes control of Peter's body at the end of Superior, he ends up being a doppelganger more than anything else.

Otto is in Pete's Body with a Ghost Pete inside the Mind.

What Issues of what Series did they do the story where Otto's Body is missing?

Damn I really hope this isn't the case.

Damn I really hope this isn't the case.

I'm still waiting to see this article where Slott confirmed it. It all seems a bit fishy to me. Why would he paint himself in a corner like that and expose any possible ending for Superior? This is the same guy that had a twitter war this week with the guy from Bleeding Cool over them posting last page spoilers.

So, if Ghost Pete isn't real Pete, maybe that means the "soul molecule" idea Slott introduced is still in play, and somewhere out there Pete's "soul molecule" is waiting to return...
