Yes, indeed it is very nice. It's my first time here and since there are no lines set up I sneaked in the theater and it's nice, leather seats and all...

Nice I've gotta check that out then, enjoy the movie

Haha, current season is good.
I am loving it.

over 3 quarters full. impressive. Its starting...later peps.

I wouldn't say Superman Returns was completely it's own thing. For a good stretch of the film, it was a reprise of the original film. Eventually, the film evolved into it's own thing.

I still think that film works as Superman III to Donner's first two. It closes the thematic loop. The biggest problem fans had with it, in my opinion, was that Singer spent 209 million on a love story...when what the fans have longed for was a modern version of the character after having been away so long.

But, I still agree with Singer's premise. The origin of Kal-El, whether from comics, TV, or from the original film, is so hardwired into everyone's DNA, it made sense not to do a hard reboot and do the origin again. It made sense to just pick up where we left off. And had Singer got his sequel, I think we'd be in a totally different situation right now.

Yeah, I'm well aware of all of the structural parallels and homages, which is why I said there are a lot of SUPERFICIAL similarities. However, no matter how hard the film tries to be a Donner Superman film, it really isn't, that is why I say it is its own thing. Routh's Superman is completely different from Reeve's as is the film's tone, style, and much of its production design. The movie feels absolutely nothing like Donner's work in my opinion. The Donner magic just isn't there. If any superhero film feels like a spiritual successor to Donner, it is Batman Begins from the epic, heroic first act, charismatic and gravitas filled performances to the uneven third and tonal irregularities.

15 hours for me, I'd rather not spoil another action scene for myself.

My Local Film critic on channel 7 just highly praised MOS,
He was highly complimentary of all of the performances , He also said there humor in between all of the action.
One interesting thing.
He said he thought it ended 4 times.
I guess that refers to all those action scenes in the latter half of the film.

Is your local critic Arch Campbell?

Shannon asked Snyder whether a Wonder Woman movie is coming. :hehe:

and streaming is over.

well, got my tickets to see this Saturday with my dad!

I really pray it's better than what these critics are saying........

I've waited 7 years for this.......

Sort of. It gets to the point it becomes kind of meaningless to me.

Yeah, Superman is strong and powerful, we get it.

But do we need a ridiculous amount of quick, fast battle scenes to showcase Superman's flight, agility, superhuman speed...etc..?

Basically to sum it up, it's like watching two aliens with superhuman strength and speed throwing and slaming into each other, throwing and crashing each other into buildings.....that's basically what most of the action sequences is.

Especially the very last fight between Zod and Superman...it gets to the point of "enough is enough already". It starts to become ridiculous and unbelievable.

Maybe Snyder is trying to beat the action sequences from "The Avengers"

Dude, Superman has lacked action since Superman II. And we have NEVER EVER EVER seen Superman punch anyone except for in the Donner cut of Superman II when he punches non.

I haven't seen the movie, got my tickets for 9:30 tomorrow. I can see people not liking Henry Cavill, the suit, no Williams theme, but I don't see how anyone can be critical of the action.

After I saw Avengers, Transformers, Hancock and other movies with epic battles, I've always asked myself, why not Superman? Now we get that and people complain.

Hopefully if all goes well im goin to be seeing it tomorrow @ 10:45 in the morning I wish I could have gone tonight

I guess people are never satisfied. I thought that when the action does happen, it feels rewarded. Oh well, my theater went absolutely nuts for the action.

Honestly the action in this film looks awesome and i really dont think I'll get bored of it.
