Not really, I've been warning people here over and over.

Cavill, Cavill's height, Amy Adams being 10 years older than Cavill, the chemistry between them. The new suit, no John Williams theme.

You guys can try to deny it all you want to and MOS may shatter records. But to have a Superman film without John Williams theme is like JJ Abrams launching Star Wars without Williams theme and opening crawl. That music IS SUPERMAN, it makes you want to stick your chest out, its uplifting it gives me chills EVERY TIME I hear it and I've heard it 34 years now.

For Synder and Goyer to say Williams theme would confuse the audience is just down right stupid. Everyone knows its a reboot and Christopher Reeve isn't playing Superman.

sorry I am gonna have to disagree with you. Superman will never move forward if they keep relying on the Donner films.
The movie themes you mention all came into being when the character did. There was no Jaws movies before the first one so there was no other Jaws theme...same for Star Was or any other John Williams theme.
Superman existed way before the Donner movie.
How iconic would TDK series be if they used the Burton/Elfman theme or the 60's Batman theme???

Our definitions of average movie goer are different then. I don't know anyone personally who care about that theme.

It may be synonymous with the old films but once again newsflash this isn't those films.

I personally didn't like the 3D aside from the flying sequences. It made the film just a bit darker and blurry, similar to Iron Man 3. I'm seeing it in a few hours in standard 2D and this Saturday in IMAX 2D.

Saw it in 3D last night. I'm not a fan of 3D, but since I won the tickets and it was free I wasn't about to complain about it. I'm seeing it in 2D tomorrow morning, so I'm excited to see it in my preferred viewing method.

As for the 3D, it was okay, didn't feel like it really added anything special too it. Again I don't like 3D.

Yeah they didn't ***** moan and whine like this. I think some of it has to do with it being Williams. In these parts he is like a god and how dare he be replaced with a netherworld dweller like zimmer!

Williams' Superman theme is about as iconic as his Star Wars theme. I don't see why they won't want to use it in MOS, because this music is better than anything that Han Zimmer can come up with in this movie.

As much as I loved Superman Returns making Superman 5 instead of his own version of Superman was Singer's biggest mistake.

Just came back from my 7pm walmart premiere.. I have been a fan of Supes of sometime...and well...this movie...ugggh. No character development and way to sci-fi. Yes supes is made up and hes an alien, but show how the world reacts, just not the government. I left feeling empty, like I just watched a whole lot of destruction for no reason. Did I mention no character development! And clark jumping around like 3 times has flight for a little, falls, gets back up, and then flies for real. What a total let down. I turned my superman shirt that I ordered from Hot Topic like 2 months ago inside out as I walked out of the theatre. Oh, and Zod flies at the end because he was trained by the military, and not on a farm..
