At this point, I can’t even begin to explain just how breath-taking Gal Gadot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman is. She is absolute perfection.

I've been a pretty harsh critic on Gal in the past, but I'm really excited to hear that people are saying she nailed it.

and theres no shame in saying she sort of saved the DCEU quality wise, I think its fair to say this movie will get people excited for JL due to good word of mouth.

El Chipe, as someone who has had many a discussion with you let me just say that Gal completely nails it. It is one of my fave CBM performances to date.

To be honest, I think it all depends on the material she's given to work with. She's good at acting innocent, childlike, unpretentious and dewy-eyed because that's essentially just her actual personality. Much like Chris Pratt acting like a dorky, well-intentioned, quippy man-child action hero dude.
I'm sorry but I seriously cringed when Gal was acting all sophisticated and world-wise, trying to give off that spy vibe (at the formal event with Bruce Wayne). It felt like a little girl pretending to be a spy in a school play.
My hope is she actually got better and the praise she's receiving isn't simply due to the character corresponding with her real self. Maybe she did improve exponentially. That's my hope for JL

I haven't looked around, but everything I've come across says it's really good. If most people like it, then it's almost for sure that I will because I'm on the "go easy" side of rating movies. The only thing I can think of that I really detest is Crapformers and didn't like TASM2 much. Missed the last FF movie out of respect to the creators.

Again, we do not know how many critics have scored it there yet but Pirates 5 was at 65/100 a day before the embargo officially lifted last week which ended up being accurate to the RT score

I'm actually watching this in 70mm on Thursday at the Arclight Hollywood and then in IMAX on Saturday.
