Just how many actresses playing the lead role reached the acting level of Meryl Streep in their first movie as lead ?

And I get it, looking at the reception previous DC movies got and their RT score, the bar was set pretty low, making a movie that is better then those movies is no big deal.

Sadly that comparison is never going to go away, the "but it wasn't a high bar anyways" comment is going to be the subtle-jibe of choice from here on out.

Same with the acting standards placed on future movies, for some reason when it comes to the DCEU people want everyone to be a contemporary of DDL or Streep before their performance can be deemed good. Probably a consequence of being spoiled by the likes of Bale, Freeman and Caine from TDKT era.
