I am beyond happy. Congratulations to Patty, Gal, Chris, Zack, Geoff and everyone else who worked so hard on this film. This is amazing. This makes me so much more excited for seeing the movie tonight! (As if I wasn't pumped before the reviews...)

Also, from what I'm hearing, WW proves that Patty is a director that is able to bring out the best in the cast she is given. Also, people have been giving WB so much flak for pumping out "trash" DCEU movies. I hope this shows people that WB has the ability to learn from their mistakes. AND, it also sounds like WB stepped back and let Patty make the film as she intended, with very little studio interference. I hope to see this method translate into JL and the following DCEU films.

(I guess after all the reviews and reactions from fellow Hypesters, my reaction after watching it tonight isn't gonna matter huh :oldrazz:)

My God.. From all places, critics in ISRAEL are ripping the movie to shreds.

I wonder if they will explain why she has a different sword between the past and present day.

So far it seems like foreign reviews haven't been too hot. Wonder if this movie might end up with a particularly lopsided BO, given the critical acclaim it's gotten domestically.

Weak script, apparently.

Thats a problem with most comic book films. Shallow or weak scripts. Does Israeli critics routinely "shred" other comic book films for their weak scripts or does it seem like they just have a bone to pick with the Wonder Woman film.

Modern AAA films tend to make more internationally than they do domestically. Regardless of critical reception. Its highly unlikely this film would do extremely well domestically while tanking internationally.

I think the worst case scenario is the box office ends up being close to a 50-50 split with the international and domestic box offices being similar.

They like Marvel movies

Why is that relevant? American critics rip American movies to shreds all the time.

Are those guys gonna be the next wave of RT critics? It hasn't had new reviews added for several hours yet. I hope we get Certified before the night is over on the west coast.

From what I understand, WW was the first movie of the DCEU Geoff Johns was able to oversee from the beginning? Because a lot of the reviews are loving the movie for the things Johns wanted to see embraced by the DCEU, "heart, humor and heroics." Gives me a bit of hope for the upcoming films.

It probably was. The episodes of Flash and Arrow that he's written are obviously the better ones. He knows the lore regardless of your opinion of him as a DC head.

Yup, I rememebr a journalist saying, after Johns and Berg were announced as DC co-heads, "It all started with Wonder Woman when they were shooting in London". I guess Johns impressed WB back then when they were reviewing dailies
