Thanks for posting man!
The reviewer I follow, Kate Rodger, her review title was "WW is the first good film in DCEU"
She gave it 4/5
Then I checked her MOS review in 2013, she said she really enjoyed it, and gave it "an easy 4 stars"
Oops.
More reactions from today screening. Enjoy
If A sequel is announced in the upcoming week or so, would A 2019 release date be good or would 2020 be better?
It can take time to digest a film, and opinions do tend to clump together over time.
You see it even here on forums like these.
Some of that is consensus, and some of it is group-think.
But others are right in pointing out that MoS might have initially been associated with Nolan's movies in reviewers' minds, but now it's tied more to BvS and SS.
As a Superman Fanboy and DC Fanboy...I want to say Congratulations to WonderWoman and To her Biggest Fans (I'm a Fan), Patty Jenkins, and Gal! She got the movie she deserved and I'm so proud!! Now I'm bummed why can't my Hero get his Praise in this universe I LOVED MOS (was the Superman I waited my whole life for) and was angry at the reviews! Henry Cavill is forever my Superman and nothing will change that for me I love his portrayal of my Hero and he is the guy, even at my age of 26, that I Look up to when I see him don my favorite red and blue suit!! He looks like everything Superman meant to me my whole life! I really want my Hero and Henry to get his praise and success too cause he deserves it as well
I love MOS and Cavill is my favourite Superman. From the praise WW has been getting, most (if not all) cite Gadot's performance as one of the reasons why the film succeeds. I think what Cavill needs is a director that can elicit such an embodiment/performance of the character, similar to what Patty appears to have achieved with Gadot.
Don't get me wrong, Zack's one of my favourite directors, but Patty has proven with WW and Monster that she's able to elicit really strong performances from her cast. We just need directors to do that with the DCEU films. I hope Zack can, especially with JL. For me, Batfleck is proof that Zack can guide the actors to really strong performances. He just needed to rein Eisenberg in a little at times, and give Cavill a little more dialogue.
@markjoedelonge you make some really great points. I'm also a supporter of Zack and I think he did well with directing Gal and Ben in BvS but maybe the character of Supes/Henry he needs someone different to bring out more of Superman's personality without making him Reeve.
Eh, foreign actresses tend to always get some kind of hate in their own countries. Cotillard herself is hated on all the time in france.

Quite a lot of Aussies think Nicole Kidman is a tart and Cate Blanchett is pretentious and stuck up.
