Wow, even with all these positive reviews, I was not expecting this reaction. Looking forward to your review jmc.

It's Great to hear that User JMC seems to LOVED it!! What are his tastes in our DC films?? I don't know much about him

Uh... I kind of disagree some a little bit. First it's Lois not Louis. Second, what would you have had her do with the spear? I'm asking honestly not trying to be a smart a--. She didn't have a lot of options, she probably still didn't trust Bruce and Clark couldn't be near it.
The nearly drowning thing was lame but it did 2 things: 1. It kind of brought in Superman is in tune with Lois' body so he knows if she's in trouble 2. At least someone in the Trinity remembered to get their hands on that weapon! Good gracious, they all know they need that "weapon that can kill it" but not one of them thinks to look for it.

Spellcheck is responsible for louis.

I would have held onto the spear like my life depended on it until Superman came back then I would have asked him what he wanted done with it or I would havr askrd him before he left. I wouldnt have thrown it in a water hole where anyone could find it.

The film had already established Superman's connection with Lois when he flew in and caught her after Lex tossed her off the building.

Bruce knew the spear could probably kill Doomsday. He talks to Alfred about it and says he needs to lure Doomsday back to where the spear is. Thats what Bruce is doing before he gets shot out of the sky. Antagonizing Doomsday to get Doomsday to follow him. His plan was to get the spear so they could use it. After he is shot down he doesnt have a chance to get to the spear, because Doomsday is chasing him atound and shooting laser beams at him. But even if Bruce had been able to go for the spear, Lois had thrown it down a water hold and Bruce didnt know that she did that so he wouldn't have been able to find the spear.

I dont mind the writers wanting to let Lois be involved in the fight. I think its a good thing she got to play a role in the fight especially considering Superman was going to die. Lois needed to be there. But there were ways to involve her without having her toss that spear in a water hole and then get herself into a "Damsel in distress" situation.

To remain on topic, happy to see that Hypsters are enjoying it. DC fans and WB needed this win.

He has not been a fan of the DCEU thus far. Much like myself. Needless to say his reaction has gotten me even more hyped than I was before.

Cool thing is, now even if the DCEU fails at some point in the future, even if the rest of the films are disappointing, we got a really good Wonder Woman film out of the DCEU and thats a big win afaiac. It makes this DCEU franchise worth it.

If we can just get a really good WW film and a really good Superman film out of this, I won't even care about anything else, lol.

Trust me, the movie definitely could stand on its own, since it doesn't heavily rely on references to the bigger DCEU.

If anything, it shows that WB can learn from its mistakes and when they really put their mind to it, they can turn in a stunning film. I believe Aquaman will have a similar reaction to WW, and I really really REALLY hope JL can too. (I know, I know, but a guy can dream, can't he?)

Patty should just give her directing notes on WW to the next Superman director. Also just get the writer to write WW as portrayed by Gal, then do a replace all with Superman and they should have the character and tone right. :p

It's thrilling to have a DC film on the table that isn't hot garbage. The hype is real.

I'd almost certainly prefer that film over what we've gotten thus far.

I actually think the journey that Diana had in the movie was how Superman should've been portrayed, except for their starting points growing up since obviously they had differing perspectives in their formative years.

Me too! It's actually the perfect structure for a Superman movie, character development wise.

Being pumped for a movie and making non-sensical, borderline imagined comments aren't mutually exclusive, homeslice. Fact of the matter is almost nobody has cited her performance as anything less than good, across the board.

That is not quite true. A majority of reviews do say that Gal's performance is a strength, but a lot of them do note that it is uneven, weaknesses being her line delivery especially in the more dramatic scenes. However, everyone seems to suggest her screen presence is phenomenal, especially when drawing on her own personality. A movie star is born, an actor not so much.
