Wait, really? That's weird. I assumed they'd at least do the whole Newspaper headline given name excuse.

You haven't seen the film yet? Why did you read the spoiler tags?

They could've used a newspaper headline. I wonder when she does get the nickname. I hope it's not only in the modern age at the time of Justice League.

I found the movie was a bit dark especially towards the end (when Diana is riding the horse) but that had to do with the time of day in the scene. And luckily I was at a new screen too. I do think that it would've been quite dark in 3D and that would only be good if you've got a good cinema.

The seating was also spacious and well-arranged where I went so it's not a problem if people get up or come in late etc.

While I didn't go to a special event screening, there were a couple of people dressed up as WW, one guy too had the tiara and bracelets!

There were other dark parts too

like when they were sitting around the campfire, or when Diana went to retrieve the sword, lasso and armour and was about to leave Themyscira.

And also at the end when they raided that German camp.

Lucky you! Being over 6 feet I spent the movie with my knees pressed against the seat in front

Well, being 5'3 I never had that problem :cwink:.
It's the only cinema company I watch movies in. Can't stand the rest.
Even if the other movie theaters have good quality they are usully really close to shopping centers so you get a lot of kids who make noise or open their phone in the middle of the movie. I can't stand seeing the light from a phone screen.

I get so picky about which cinemas I go to now too. I can't stand light from a phone either. But now I just accept that cinema viewings aren't going to be perfect most of the time. People are just unpredictable. There's always something going on. And the only real comfort assured is when you watch it at home.

Yeah there's not really that moment. Guess because things are just happening so fast, plot-wise.

Well I've been to other films where people aren't constantly getting up and down. This showing seemed to be one where people had particularly weak bladders, not helped by the auditorium being rather small that a whole row had to get up for people to pass by.

OMG!!! It's 3AM and I just returned from seeing it.
It was absolutely AMAZING!!!
The action was fantastic. All of it, even the end. The slow-mo didn't bother me at all, nor did the classic villain in the end. It was a bit cliche at times but most super hero movies are. The chemistry between Gal and Chris is electric. I loved every part of their romance. It felt epic, and grand and real. I'm not the touche-feely sort of girl but it was just so perfect.

The only thing I had some problem with was Gal's accent. It is so Israeli it was distracting for me. It's not so much the accent itself as it is the intonation of how she said it. It was just so modern day Israeli it took me out of the movie a little bit. It didn't bother me for most of the movie. Just in the beginning.

I am really happy I am seeing it again tomorrow :)

Woo-hoo!!! I only know two things: Friday evening better hurry up and get here so I can see this movie!

And anything that makes you smile like that really ought to keep happening. Truly God must love Israel, it's full of beautiful women. Let me stop, lol. Thank you for gracing us all with that smile!

Man, I really regret not having listened to the score before watching the film, like I did with BvS. I held out after hearing you guys praise the score from that China leak of No Man's Land, and I was so focused on listening to it in the movie, it kinda distracted me and I was a little let down by it.

But listening to it on its own now....Wow. Can't wait to watch it again and fully experience the scene again.

From what i was told from a friend, there's at least 3 or 4 scenes that could be a tearjerker.

You'd better believe my tears were jerked.

Amazing movie. I enjoyed it more than every Marvel film to date. And every DCEU film, which is actually a big call coming from me :woot:

can someone start a sequel thread? I have it, and it's Hera. 😈

tougher than most of the dudes on this board anyway. !

Well, I doubt that is a very high standard.

I am certainly a less tough than even a couple of years ago. We softies are probably the first ones to be picked on the zombie apocalypse.

I loved this movie. Gal killed it, She is THE Wonder Woman now... 9.8/10

Oh, I agree. Me too. The point really was that she can handle herself and weird stalkery nerdboys should bear that in mind. :wlso:

So let's just...keep it to Wonder Woman, guys.

:funny: I refreshed the page and was wondering where all the posts went.

Back to WW. Did you guys listen to the score before watching the movie? I didn't, wanting to be wowed by it in the cinema. Sadly, it didn't do much for me, and I regret not having listened to it beforehand.

No. Though, I did hear some bits from the leaked audio footage of the Chinese premiere. Didn't find the score that special during the film, but after listening to the whole album it has grown on me.
