I overlook GOTG doing it five times because that was obviously James Gunn kind of taking the piss out of the whole phenomenon.

It's gotten to the point where it's aggravating. And to be frank, a lot of the post-credit scenes have been lame or uneventful -- the ones on Battleship, Days of Future Past and X-Men Apocalypse take the cake.

I like it when directors refuse to put an extra scene at the end. I like movies to stand on their own, and not just tease a sequel just because "Marvel does it."

Bruckheimer didn't do it on every film though, just the films he thought would end up as a franchise (i.e. POTC and Sorcerer's Apprentice). Marvel Studios use to parsimoniously just put one after the credits, then they upped it to two. While the GOTG V2 five scenes was a one-time thing, it was irritating and overboard.
lmao yeah it was. I wish they ran that a bit slower tho, so you could see everything

Okay Peeps, I'm out to go get in line for WW laters!

I just came back from round 2. My original opinion on the film stands, it's so close to being on par with TDK but comes up ever so short. It's is like 85% of greatness mixed in with 15% of faults. I realise though as I was watching it a second time that this is the type of movie I'll never get sick of watching. I took a female friend of mine who's not really into comics or superheroes and she really loved it too. Her main takeaway was she loved Diana's strength through her empathy.

I'm taking my mom next week and I'm pretty excited for her to see it. Like I said in another thread, this thing will have killer buzz among the GA. I wouldn't be surprised if it beats Mummy next week.

It's interesting that both Chris Pine and Sofia Boutella were in the same movie (Star Trek Beyond) last year and now this year their movies will be facing off each other.

Ironically enough, she played a supporting character while he was a lead & now she's playing the lead while he's a supporting character.

I don't think they HAVE too. They SHOULD come up with something unique to them tho. I can see a scene just before the credits start to roll and right after an obvious end of the actual movie.
Maybe even have the art IN the credits hint at what is coming next
So, pretty much like the Joker card in BB. That's what a lot of people suggested as an alternative to a post-credits scene and I would totally be happy with that route.

In the States Wonder Woman is going to beat The Mummy and I dont think it will be close relatively speaking. There is very little buzz for the film and it isnt exactly tracking high. Even with a big drop in week 2 I think Wonder Woman will do well enough to take down The Mummy.

I really can't get over how great Gal was. She literally IS Wonder Woman. Extraordinarily charismatic and truly radiant, but also strong-willed and fierce. Also obviously beautiful and super hot.

When watching the film, I found that I literally couldn't take my eyes off her. Like when there's a shot framed with her and another character, or a group shot, my eyes stayed fixed on her more often than not.

My wife wasn't into seeing The Mummy until home theater until she saw the BTS stuff before our showing of WW. Then she looked at me and just said "yeah". She's a huge Jake Johnson fan.

Mummy is gonna get killed critics wise, the embargo doesn't lift until Thursday

When there was a scene of just her and Said T. side by side I was so astonished by her towering that I literally looked to the people next to me

Lord Snyder made the right call :D :D

I can't wait for WW to smash Guardians of the Galaxy 2 at the box office. Put that ridiculous franchise in it place!

lupitanyongo Ok people, I just left the theater and KNOW for CERTAIN that the GODS have seen fit to BLESS us with #WONDERWOMAN. W.O.W. It is a superhero movie like none I have ever seen. Epic. FUN. Engaging. Stylistically Captivating. Funny in an honest, not-trying-too-hard way. Witty. Smart. Perfect length. Fierce. Sensual. Just amazing. #GalGodot will glue you to the screen and at the same time make you want to run to the nearest costume shop to get your W on and join the #GODESSNESS right away (W = #WomanWarriorOfTheWorld). Director #PattyJenkins IS NOT PLAYING AROUND, as she gives us some AMAZON REALNESS in an exquisitely directed story. Chris Pine is irresistable. The score is KILLER. And it is the type of film that I think you can enjoy over and over. This movie definitely goes down as a classic in its genre for me. @wonderwomanfilm #RunAndGoSeeIt #HadToGush #PromotionFromTheHeart.

Well said, she was divine. I've always thought Gal was beautiful (I was a fan of hers ever since I saw her in Fast Five and was following her on Twitter and IG years before she was selected as WW and only had a couple of thousand followers) but in WW she was on another level. The extra weight she put on has done wonders for her and I really hope she keeps it. Oh, and that hair... 😍
