I think Spider-man is going to be neutral in this movie.
It actually came from a paparazzi on Twitter who goes by the name of @AlantaFilming. He said he saw a Spider-Man on the set of Civil War with green screen. MMarvel supposedly asked him not to take any pics and this was two months before Tom was cast.I am skeptical of that bit though just because I don't remember anyone than Eh Maybe claiming that was the case.
Wait, so he was filming longer than Rudd!? I love Spiderman as much as the next guy, but he having a role greater than Antman is unexpectedSpider-Man isn't in the trailer not because he's barely in it but because the focus of this trailer didn't require him, just as it didn't require Vision or Ant-Man or more than a couple seconds of Scarlet Witch or Hawkeye.
Holland filmed around 2-3 weeks, about the same as Olsen and Bettany and more than Rudd and Grillo. His role will be small but not minuscule. Otherwise they would not have cast Marisa Tomei as Aunt May - who is also not listed in the credits. Neither is Martin Freeman listed.
The credits on the last AOU trailer were more complete than the first - including Atwell, Mackie and Elba. Linda Cartenelli still wasn't listed yet her role was larger than all of theirs. Credits are largely contractual and don't necessarily correlate with screen time.
Im hoping they bring back this version of the Spidey theme

t:I don't think Peter will be on anyones team anymore thanks to the trailer.
A while back there was a news channel for the MCU on youtube. On the bottom News Ticker they it said Stark had some sort of program fro promising students.
If that's any indication obviously Peter Parker will be one of those promising students chosen. Stark meets Peter when he choses him. Maybe a quick exchange between Peter and Stark about knowledge and Peters potential to be as great as Stark. Maybe a funny scene where Peter corrects Stark or something that suprises Tony.
Then we get a line like Stark saying "Listen Peter, you're a brilliant mind. When you're older I'd be glad to hire you. You can be just like me...well you have to be a superhero to be like me, maybe I'll give you an Iron Suit."
Peter: No thanks. I'd rather have my own.
*Cut to scene of Peter swinging through the city after his meeting with Stark as Spidey beating down criminals*
Peter: Brilliant? Check. Superhero? Check. Stark meet your replacement.
Or maybe do that entire thing in reverse. Perhaps Peter was chosen for the Stark Program and is late for class because he is beating up criminals. When he swings back to school he see's a limo. He ignores it and walks into class late to see Tony Stark.
Oh I can't wait to get a glimpse of the soundtrack hopefully Spidey has his own theme music for his scene. And it's reworked into the 2017 film as well.
But what he said is natural? Like he can't just show up? I'm sure Peter and Tony will have some kind of relationship in this film, even if its just a 3 minute to 5 minute scene. Someone needs to have knowledge of Spidey's existence before he can start swinging in and getting involved, he needs to have a relationship with at least one of the Avengers and Tony seems like the best bet since they're both geniuses. Then later he can sympathise with Cap since they both have this idealistic moral fibre. Why exactly would those scenes be in the film though, they have nothing to do with the plot. That would be a forced cameo setting up a future film something AoU and especially TASM2 suffered from.
Somehow Spider-man needs to fit into this film naturally.

Yeah but you need time to develop his relationship with the other characters,he can't just come in. How to you integrate him? Why would he bother because of the Sokovia Accords? Why wouldn't he just end up like Daredevil and the rest of the TV guys and stay under the radar? It's a Cap film but films don't just focus on the hero do they? In Winter Soldier you still saw Pierce talking to Fury and Bucky didn't you in order to build the motivations and relationships of the villain? In Iron Man 3 you saw Pepper speaking to Killian. Not every scene needs to be Cap centric just because it's a Cap film. That's not how movies work.
Every scene is building to something and a scene like that is building Peter's involvement in a later scene.
I didn't say when/if tony gets introduced to Peter that they don't talk about the plot, like I said it's a short scene and yes Tony would know his identity, I see Cap and Tony being the only ones who find out his identity in this film. There's been no mention of Spider-Man or his villains in the MCU thus far, I doubt him beating up criminals got the attention of the government.
I like your idea, it's not bad and it it happened like that I'd accept it but maybe we don't need to see Peter join Tony's science program, maybe he's already met Tony off screen and he's already in Tony's Science program so we don't even need dialogue about them meeting for the first time. Then you can have the TV scene you were talking about.I think any 'enhanced' will be on the governments radar.
I think we are getting cross wires here tbh, I was saying ernesth scenes don't feel natural, Peter being in Tonys science program and Tony and Peter talking about being geniuses etc has nothing to do with the plot.
If you are just saying Peter needs an introduction before fighting then yes, and he should converse with both Tony and Steve imo, but it should come about through the story and not be some tag along side story.
How about Peter is sitting watching the news sees the announcement of the accords and the request for enhanced individuals who want to do 'good' to come and sign them. Peter being young and naive and seeing one of his heroes Iron Man urging people to sign them decides he wants to help and goes along.
Peter talks with Tony, though he is masked and he says he will sign the accords but as Spider-man and refuses to give away his secret identity.
I'll admit it's not amazing and I hope the writers have come up with something a lot better, but to me that is at least a way of fitting Spidey in without it coming across that he was just thrown in there just to be like 'hey guys Spider-man is in the MCU'
What if we don't see him unmasked yet?
I know exactly where it can fit. Either in the end where Stark is thinking about everything that just happened and remembers he has a meeting with a kid from midtown. Why exactly would those scenes be in the film though, they have nothing to do with the plot. That would be a forced cameo setting up a future film something AoU and especially TASM2 suffered from.

Tom Holland there was shooting for a few weeks, so it's likely we will. At least one Peter Parker scene has already been confirmed...
