I found the writing, the acting, the plot and just about everything to be horrible in this movie. The only thing I can say good about it is it looks good but that's it. It seems like everytime I walk around in my house, one of my family members is watching it. Come on, there has to be at least one other person who isn't crazy about this movie.

i liked da trasnformers film coz its had sum awsome figths wif da robots my favurite robots is otimus primes and also jazz but i waz realy sad wen jazz gots kiled and i hope dat he cums back in futuer films coz hes 1 of my favorites of da trasnformers i hope dat dey make sum more robots for da next film coz den dere could be sum more awsome figths and den pepole wud like dis next trasnformer 2 even beter dan da first 1 i fink if its got more robots den it shuld be a good film coz dere was not enugh robots

You're not the only one who didnt like it, but you are in a minority when it comes to people who dont.

Nope you are not the only one. I didnt care for it either. I know we are in the minority, but neither did any of my friends. Being ole schoolers I liked the animated movie better. It was a great movie full of eye candy and special effects( Megan fox being one of them), but that was about it. You had 50 feet tall robots trying to hide in a kids backyard( yeah like nobody would notice that). Some super secret organization thats has invented everything from the car to laptops with reverse engineering, with over the top acting from John Tutoro. The guy who lives in his grandma house who can hack stuff that a whole army of Pentagon computer specialist couldnt.( yeah i can suspend belief for that). Most of all you had Optimus Prime leaving a man behind( bumblebee). That about clinched it for me. because all the heroic characters i know of would never never do that. So yeah i didn't pretty much care for it either.

Let me guess. you liked Spidey 3 better

I sure as heck did but it's not just because I'm a Spider-Man fan. I've seen B-movies better than Transformers. The kind of B-movies that make you want to kill yourself for renting and/or buying.

It was a great movie full of eye candy and special effects( Megan fox being one of them), but that was about it.

I agree, it looks good but that wasn't enough.

with over the top acting from John Tutoro
They tried to hard to make the audience hate him.

The guy who lives in his grandma house who can hack stuff that a whole army of Pentagon computer specialist couldnt.( yeah i can suspend belief for that).
Yeah, if he were really that good with hacking, he'd have his own place and wouldn't live with his grandmother.

Most of all you had Optimus Prime leaving a man behind( bumblebee). That about clinched it for me. because all the heroic characters i know of would never never do that.
I didn't like that part either. I guess they tried to make Optimus more edgy or something, because saving a friend from being operated on and killed is way to "after school special" for Michael Bay.

Oh man. they didnt have to try that hard. That dude got got on my last nerve after i finished watching that flick.Thing is i like John Tutoro as an actor in other movies but this one.

Yeah, if he were really that good with hacking, he'd have his own place and wouldn't live with his grandmother.
right on! if that dude was that smart he should have hacked into a couple banks and had his own place.I know alot of people would put up the argument that" Well it's a movie" but you gotta base some things in reality, and having dude being that way, was way out in left field.

i guess so but you and I know that you can be hero with an edge and not come off like a jerk. Wolverine for example would never have left any of the other Xmen that way. That was way out of character for Prime. I'm really sort of surprise that this movie did as well as it did.

I've noticed that people who don't like this movie (or movies like it), take things seriously. It's supposed to be fun. A lot of people don't seem to get that. Although, I do like it when geeks on messageboards pick on writing in movies, as if they could do any better. That's just hilarious to me.

i am the last person to take a movie like this or other like it seriously. it's gaint robots for crying out loud. i didnt expect Othello. i love me some Godzilla vs Mecha Godzilla or any other of his other movies with some guy dressed in a rubber suit back in the day.I do however expect to be entertained and beyond the special effects there was nothing else to this flick. Ghostbusters was fun! Iron Man entertained me! This movie was a drag.Thats 2 hours of my life that i could have been drinking and talking to girls that i will never get back. I'm a big comic book geek, but never would i claim to be able to write a better movie. Maybe a 13 year old might , but not me.Thats a problem with growing up. when you are younger things like guys in rubber suits and gaint robots speaking getto slang dont bother you as much.I'm all happy that transformers made millions of dollars and that people rave about it. Personally i didnt dig it and for Transformers #2 i will just spend that next 2 hours in a nightclub and hitting on girls instead.

You say the movie was a waste of your time, and yet, you come her and say how much you don't like it. Isn't that just more time you're wasting?

Seriously though, I don't really give a **** if anybody likes a movie or not. I just don't understand why anyone feels the need to tell everyone else that they didn't like something.

Nope! i think agruing with someone who doesnt share your views about a movie of all things is a waste of time. Oh and how i decide to waste said time is my buisness, dont you worry yourself, and obviously you do give a **** since you said i didnt get that this movie was made to be fun. It's okay if you liked transformers. They got another one coming out for you. So don't worry be happy!
I posted to show solidarity of Metal Spidey views.
and why would someone come on here to tell everyone else that they liked something?
Why do people come here and say how much they didnt like batman and robin?
We live in a society where we can express our views.if you dont understand why someone would voice that opinion rather negative or positive then you should seek those answers elsewhere. As i said before arguing about giant robots is a waste of time so as far as i am concerned this is at an end.
peace and may the allspark brighten your day.(hehe)

Prime clearly stated, "There's no way to free Bumblebee without harming the humans.........." Thats totally in character for Prime.

I was trying to be funny. Clearly, it didn't work. I'll try harder next time. :woot:

All I meant was that I don't understand why people constantly talk about things they don't like. That's all. I didn't mean to offend you in any way. I was speaking in general.

No you aren't. Although I aknowlege it's entertainment value it's nothing less than pure brainless garbage.

Well I didn't really like the movie much either... but it really depends on how you watch it as well. If you are watching it for the story you won't like it, but if you watch it for mindless action entertainment then you will enjoy it.

Prime clearly stated, "There's no way to free Bumblebee without harming the humans.........." Thats totally in character for Prime.

They could've gotten him back without hurting anyone. What did Prime suspect, that they would accidentally step on someone? The bad guy's HQ or whatever was huge, huge enough for one or two autobots to go in and grab Bumblebee.

I guess you would hate websites that focus on "retro" or "classic" things because all those guys do is complain about how the 80's and 90's were way better than now.

^ I've actually never been to those sites, but I do agree with them. The 80's and 90's were so much better, especially when it comes to music and cartoons. :)

At that point in the movie, they didnt want to reveal themselves to the humans, because the humans would have tried to capture them as well. And Prime never endangers humans, no matter what, so it IS in character.

Yes, I completely agree.
Bayformers is not a serious movie. The characters, the plot... it just doesn't look real.
I'm not saying that the movie was too much different from the original show. On the contrary, it should have been darker and more realistic.
Not a f**king kids movie... Hell! There's the animated series for them!
Transformers has to be mature.
The robots must act like robots, not a stupid rapper (Jazz) or Michael J Fox (Bumblebee).
They shouldn't allie with humans. The shouldn't talk and they don't need to have a mouth.
For Zod sake! They are computers. They can send a command in fractions of a second.
They are not evil or cute. A robot doesn't need to say macho-phrases like "I am Megatron!"
The entire production crew was wrong. From Spielberg to Bay.

Now I have to wait decades to see a remake. Do you have any idea what it means to have waited since I was a kid to see a Transformers movie and discover this it's just a print-money joke.
The problem is money.
No one makes movie just for the love of it anymore.
Now, it's only business.

^Wow you have no goddamn idea what Transformers really is about. No wonder you didnt like it...

Seriously. If you want non-speaking war mongering robots... go watch War of the Worlds. They don't speak... they just destroy things.

Transformers are sentient beings. They are ALIVE. Get it?

Probably not.

This is weird. You hate transformers with a passion because it has many flaws yet you love spider-man 3 which was overflowing with plotholes, wth moments, a lame ending, and poor character development. You're entitled to your opinion but, I can't take your criticisms seriously if with this inconsistent reasoning.

You had 50 feet tall robots trying to hide in a kids backyard( yeah like nobody would notice that).

What evidence was there that nobody noticed? I'm sure there were many witnesses who saw what happened. They were probably too scared or shocked at what they were seeing to do anything other than turn off their lights and hide in their homes.

Some super secret organization thats has invented everything from the car to laptops with reverse engineering, with over the top acting from John Tutoro.

I agree that this was pretty cheesy. The writing for this explanation was sloppy but, John Tutorro's character bothered me more than this.

The guy who lives in his grandma house who can hack stuff that a whole army of Pentagon computer specialist couldnt.( yeah i can suspend belief for that)

This seemed cheesy but it really didn't bother me that much if the guy was a super genius. Most physicists considered Albert Einstein to be a nut when he came up with E=MC squared in 1905 simply because he was unkown in the scientific community.

The idea of the guy living in his grandma's house is bizzare but, I've heard crazy stories like this. I remember hearing a story about a guy with a degree in mechanical engineering from MIT who decided to work as an airport shuttle driver because he found more enjoyment in that job.

Most of all you had Optimus Prime leaving a man behind( bumblebee). That about clinched it for me. because all the heroic characters i know of would never never do that. So yeah i didn't pretty much care for it either.

I agree. I had a problem with this too yet, I can understand Prime's perspective. After seeing how trigger happy Ironhide was some of the humans would definitely get hurt and probably killed if the autobots interferred.

You don't get it.
How old are you? Do you still watch the original series and think it's mature?
Alien robots would never be "alive" in the way you think.
Better than us... hell yeah!... but talking: no way!
The transformers in the movie are totally not believable as coming from an artificial alien planet: they act too much like humans.
In Kurtzman & Orci original concept, the TFs were going to be litteraly alien robots, but someone ruined that and decided to make a stupid commercial film for Hasbro.
Thank you very much!
