Oh yea of course, cuz that was the point I was trying to make
Please

Please

I would kind of appreciate it if he YouTubed it....
I agree %100.
Whatever....like I mentioned, MJ being misrepresented isn't my main problem. It's Spidey being a d**k. He was very unlikable at times during this storyline. I get that some people are going head over heals for this, but how can anyone support how the character is being written. Dan Slott is a hell of a writer and the concept behind the villain was also pretty cool in my eyes....but, Spider-man/Peter Parker really needs some work.
Being a part of this whole paparazzi deal? Yea....that's really Peter....
Yeah, when I said Pete wasn't even like his 70's self, I meant his general loser persona he has in this BND. This paparazzi stuff, takes it to a whole new level! I strongly have to disagree with those who like this BND direction that say the writers really know the character. This clearly shows they DON'T know the character.
Now, I know you are entitled to your opinion, so I am cool with that. But, surely, even those enjoying BND see them straying further and further from Pete's character.
And I understand that MJ might just be sad because she just remembers dating Pete (and he's Spidey) and not the whole erased marriage thing, but still, the idea of her in bed with that guy just make this long time fan (since the early 70's) sad. If she does remember "everything," that makes her actions all the worse!
Wait! I know! The whole BND is meant to get new readers and be more kid friendly! That's why she is hopping in the sack with that guy! Makes sense now!
Let me say, I am one of those that is 110% against OMD. I gave BND a chance, thinking they will eventually retcon it (hopefully).
While initially interesting, I always felt like an empty pit in my stomach while reading it. Lately, I feel the series has not been good. None of the new villains are really interesting (Menace isn't even a good Hobgoblin, and I hate Freak), and regressing Pete is awful. He didn't even act like that in the 70's!
But, now, I agree that it looks like MJ remembers "everything." So seeing her climb into bed with that guy just made my heart sink. It is just uncomfortable reading this stuff.
I really can't agree that they are writing Spidey well again. You want to see Spider-Man handled properly? Watch The Spectacular Spider-Man on Saturday mornings. Thank goodness for that show! Please retcon this stuff and sweep this Brand New Day under the carpet.
Sorry, if this was a rant. I know we are suppose to stick to stuff in this issue. This is basically a response to MJ in this issue being in this relationship while seeming to remember "everything."
Mary Jane isn't Mary Jane. Mary Jane is Mephisto. Sara Ehret is Mary Jane.
That would actually be pretty cool. I certainly hope there's some sort of method to all this madness.
Regardless; that was the final straw for me. At least for the forerseeable future.
He was tempted by the money, and soon saw the error of his ways... that's a typical Peter Parker thing that we've seen in various forms in the last 46 years of Spider-Man... he's not perfect and he makes mistakes, and the best part about his character is that he learns from them... like he did in this recent storyline...

Why would making Peter a paparazzi photographer for all of 3 issues mean that the writers don't have a grasp on his character?

And whether MJ knows or not is not clear, but even if she did, she has her reasons for keeping quiet, and the idea that she was in bed with another fella doesn't bother THIS long time Spidey fan (since the early 70's), so I'd suggest ya get a backbone because these are comics.

Man Cap...
I decide to give BND one more shot and now it seems like your hopping off.
For now, yes. Just doesnt interest me anymore.
No one can say i didnt give it a shot though.![]()
Just gonna gree with you here before i disagree: Pete as a paparazzi doesn't bother me that much. Whatever, It's something small that's can be easily rectified with decent story for those that hate it. We've all been through worse stories. Why would making Peter a paparazzi photographer for all of 3 issues mean that the writers don't have a grasp on his character?
The idea of MJ in bed if she knows SHOULD bother you. Not even because "It's MJ, she's a saint" or anything like that, but because it's HORRIBLE writing/direction. A person who KNOWS thier one true love is out there, who it is, and that they were together in the past just jumps in bed with another character without even first trying to win her real guy back??????? That doesn't make any sort of logical/emotional sense whatsoever. And whether MJ knows or not is not clear, but even if she did, she has her reasons for keeping quiet, and the idea that she was in bed with another fella doesn't bother THIS long time Spidey fan (since the early 70's), so I'd suggest ya get a backbone because these are comics.

That's funny to me that people are complaining about that. I mean, he was going to work for someone that he KNEW was the Green Goblin.

So this writing can go two ways: She remembers everything, and doesn't try to win Pete back: This is asinine, because if you know your one true love (the books words, not even mine) is out there, not even trying to win him back is stupid. Or: She has a plan to win Pete back. Which is also stupid, becuase the whole point of this is to NOT have them be together.
It's also bad writing from a "she knows a little bit" perspective.
Two reasons again: 1) If she knows a little, good writing says that because they are going to mention it, something will cfome of it. IE: MJ goes on a mission to find how she knows what she knows. If this leads nowhere, it's bad writing, because why even have it in there in the first place???
2) Again, if it does lead to them being reunited, it defeats the entire purpose of BND.
I can see why you like the stories with the villains and supporting cast and what not. I can't see how you accept this horrible writing direction that is happening.
