Andy Serkis IS Alfred Pennyworth

Given this incredibly physical and seemingly action-oriented Alfred, and that it looks like Batman will be softer, more physically beatable and weaker compared to prior versions, it would be a refreshing spin to see Alfred spar and wrestle with Bruce from time to time. Alfred could beat him in wrestling in one or two scenes and help teach Wayne to become better at grappling and combat and escape technique

You're basically assuming that out of nowhere.

I will honestly leave the theater if I see this.

The problem with thangaran is that they're a troll, the problem is that they run the same bits into the ground over and over. Get new material!

I’m not a troll by any means, see my other posts in general outside of this subject; so knock it off. I just want to see something radically different and interesting from a Batman film... my main things are seeing a different type of cast (which this movie has mostly done so far) and a weaker detective gumshoe type Batman... taking lots more inspiration from Daredevil. Kind of like a hybrid of Philip Marlowe and Daredevil and the Question. Those are the main points I’m arguing. If folks are having problems with this then fine I’ll mostly stay out of the Batman forums and apologies if people take offense to stuff I am excited about wanting to see.

That doesn't mean he deserves trust.

It doesn't mean he deserves mistrust either.

For me, a big part of the fun of the Batman character and why he is so enduring has been seeing the different ways he gets interpreted by different creators over the years. The fact that this cast has some surprising choices is a good thing in my book (although several of them were accurately predicted by fans). Not to mention, it is par for the course for Batman movies, which are full of casting choices that seemed left field at the time, but ended up being amazing and hard to imagine any other way now. And tbh I don't think any of the casting choices here are anywhere near as unexpected as things like Keaton as Batman or Heath as Joker.

It's not wrong for me to not trust him on his own.

I would suggest otherwise. Colin Farrell for Penguin to me is more non comic connected than basically all the Batman movie castings I remember at the moment. Unexpected isn't what I'm talking about. But their looks isn't what I prefer for the characters.

Ed Sheeran.

"Robert Pattinson looks pretty so that means he has no range to play a badass and this Batman will be a whimp! Gyms? Physical transformation? Pff, superhero actors don't do that!"

That's basically his thought process.

I think that's from the movie where he played Einstein. Tone down the hair and something like that could work. And he doesn't look bad with a mustache.

It's also about ten years old. He's aged into a much more graceful, silver fox in that time.

Personally I'm not into the look of his face. Maybe it's it being more pretty boyish.

We already saw Bruce Wayne defeated in training in Batman Begins, so there's nothing really new about it.

Daredevil is not a weak gumshoe....

In Batman Begins, he almost kills himself jumping off the rooftop after his first (adult) encounter with Gordon, he gets beat up plenty by Ducard/Ra's Al Ghul, his mansion gets burned down and he's left for dead, and the first run-in he has with Scarecrow, he gets set on fire and has to jump out a window. Not to mention how bad he gets wrecked in The Dark Knight Rises.

Exactly!

I don’t understand Matt Reeves’s twitter gif? What is he trying to say?
