Yeah, I know, I have that up on my wiki. He was credited for the two roles in BB. The end movie credits typically only mention one name. But I'm talking about marketing here. Will Hathaway only be shown as Selina Kyle or something more in the trailer? Only time will time.

Ok people need to chill with the hostility and just open their minds a little.

Set the record straight, I want catwoman in this film. I think she will be a blast. I'm just not a fan of her overly simplistic costume, and i'm just wondering why compared to the joker, bane, two face...her costume is just incredibly simplistic.

I'm not saying "oh catwoman isn't in this film". I'm just asking you, my fellow bat-fans, what IS catwoman to you all? Would you accept "selina kyle in a skintight suit, without an alter ego, cat obsession, cat puns, whip, claws etc etc?" or would you consider that to be as Conebone so eloquently put it "a slap to the face"?

I'm just trying to get a grasp on what nolan is going for here with the character.

He gave her ears for a reason, maybe it's to show us that she's Catwoman without having to say it (I still think they'll call her Catwoman).

If the only thing we got for cats, was one running around in her apartment, I would be completely satisfied.

Personally I agree, but I expect quite the backlash (even more than we have now) if she is sans the usual elements that are presented with her in the comics.

Yes that's fine, but isn't really my point. Christian bale/bruce wayne was still the batman, and he was still mentioned as the batman on screen.

Will anne be mentioned as the catwoman? Even if the name "catwoman" isn't mentioned at all in the film, should people even care?

Yeah marketing is also a very important factor, they certainly couldn't miss out on marketing her as Catwoman in this film, but her costume is so bland to present as a major part of the film on posters and happy meals and colouring books and such...I just wonder if it will work at all?

She could be black widow for all we know...her costume dosent really strike as being very marketing friendly if you are presenting anne hathaway in a basic catsuit.

I'm sure they'll have the name Anne Hathaway/Selina Kyle/Catwoman hammered into the public brains by July 20th 2012.

Already, if you ask people that don't keep up with TDKR, they've heard Anne is playing Catwoman.

I don't think marketing will be a problem. That's mostly because of the success with TDK.

True true...It's just her role in this film is such a big "?" to everyone, i'm just trying to get a grasp on how nolan will tackle her, her suit hasn't made things better.

From where I stand, the Nolan movies view the characters as human beings first and foremost (listing Bale as Bruce Wayne in the credits for example) who make decisions about their lives.

According to several sources, Nolan ran out of funding for the Batsuit, so Nolan and crew constructed a suit of whatever was left. The BB suit worked out fine, in the end, but the TDK suit was always on his mind for the trilogy.

It would seem to me, that if you were rebooting a franchise, one of, if not the first things you would do is create the costume. Either way, Nolan had 150 million dollars. Are you telling me that he didn't have enough money to create a costume of all things? Now that he does have the money the costume has actually gotten worst!

Exactly the point im making! There's hardly anything to discern her as catwoman. She could be anyone, what im trying to get at is her characterization. Is nolan simply making her catwoman in name only? Therefore all she would be is selena kyle in a skin tight suit.

I'm not looking for definitive answers to a question. I just want people's thoughts. Could this be what Nolan is going for? and if so? would it be an acceptable catwoman?
