This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]364679[/split]
Dear Children,
If your contributions have essentially nothing to do with the characterization of Selina Kyle and are little more than transparent dreck tailored toward your goofy fanboy desires than anything viable, keep them to yourselves. It's becoming more than tiresome to have this thread periodically cleaned up because people seem to equate discussion of a character that boasts sensuality with ongoing blather about **** and ass.
In very short order, such individuals will be removed from discussing the topic altogether for the slightest transgressions. I very strongly suggest that the current climate of discussion resemble something of worth.
Grow up.
A cowl that has the appearance of cat, isn't cat related? So the Bat cowl is meant to cover the head, and not show any bat-related qualities to it? Plus, you now know that the goggles are also listening devices? Christ dude, at least come up with something better to counter your argument than that.A cowl is meant to cover the head, there´s nothing necessarily cat-related about it. The spilled paint analogy doesn´t work at all, the goggle ears aren´t there by accident, they´re a listening device, like the bat ears in BB. And she might have wanted them to resemble cat ears for all we know.

The most "logical" function to goggles is.....listening?It´s a fairly easy assumption that they´re listening devices, it´s the most logical function.
My point, was how half assed it is to just give her "cat-ears"(goggles), while still selling her as Catwoman. Those aren't cat-ears, my friend. Sorry, those are easily goggles on her head that are, oh so conveniently, in the shape of cat-ears.What I mean is that cat ears with our without a cowl are still cat ears. It´s your arguments that are sorely lacking, forced bafflement or whatever that was won´t make them seem better.
They'll do....They're cat ears-ish. Not perfect but good enough.
I actually like the heels, but I can see how people could be disappointed by it, especially with the way Nolan has been selling these movies, so far.And it bears repeating, I don't care how sexy it looks on images -- those stilettos are ridiculous. This is a worse offense than having a woman fight with her cleavage so blatantly displayed. I would have thought Nolan would be too modest and smart to go that route, but he managed to surprise me and go one more deviation out into the absurd.

That's really the only reason I'm against it. If I saw this in a comic book, I wouldn't even blink. But that's because I'm used to the pages being laden with glorified perfection and ridiculous aesthetics.I actually like the heels, but I can see how people could be disappointed by it, especially with the way Nolan has been selling these movies, so far.
So I'm trying to "make fairly logical things seems absurd", like your explanation of how goggles are listening devices. I'm sorry, but I can't, for the life of me, take you seriously anymore. You can't even back up your opinions with anything concrete or solidified, but just explanations of how goggles(something you look through with your eyes), somehow is obviously a listening device(something you listen to with your ears). 2+2=5Not when they´re not positioned in front of the eyes. If she has a special looking device, having a listening one is just as logical. Again, you´re working too hard to make fairy logical things seem absurd, with terrible results.
No, I already said I hope they are designed to fit her Catwoman persona, but apparently, you missed that. As for now, they look like a cheap and convenient way to give us "cat ears" that aren't even cat-ears, they're just goggles. And like I said, maybe she consciously or subconsciously preferred to design them to resemble cat ears, due to Selina´s love of cats, etc., maybe it´s more than a happy coincidence.
I agree, but hey, I like women with heels. At least I can admit to the hypocrisy, and show my favoritism to that particular design. That's really the only reason I'm against it. Here, it clashes with the tone Nolan set. It's a blatant double standard to throw all the rules out for a woman, when one so meticulously analyzed everything but the kitchen sink to create the image of the male protagonist.

The stilettos are ridiculous, I'm equally as surprised that Nolan went with them, I'm no expert but I can't imagine any woman being able to do the activities that Catwoman will be doing and not break an ankle.
Nolan didn´t invent action women wearing high heels, almost all of them do that I know. And she wears them in comics too.
Whatever those stunts were, they would have been limited. It is just plain moronic to opt for them in any practical setting.Michelle Monaghan has been doing alot of stunts with her high heels for awhile now. Blisters has been her only injury.
