Ant-Man and The Wasp Ant-Man and the Wasp News and Speculation Thread - Part 2

Sorry I went to sleep lol.

Hope and Scott have the same amount of screen time. Honestly I felt like Hope did way more then Scott to tell you the truth. She wasn’t his sidekick they both had parts to play in the story and both got action. But to me it felt like she had more action sequences then he did.

It’s true there aren’t as many of the crazy ant sequences in this one but the ants are involved as always.

The emotional stories between the characters are there. Scott and Cassie’s is sweet. There felt like more between them in this. Even his ex and her husband had some really sweet moments with Scott which I loved. The scenes with Hope and Hank are great.

Michelle also had quite a small role but the whole movies plot essentially revolves around her so even though she’s only in it for a bit her presence is felt throughout the whole movie.

Wasps action scenes are great. I have to watch it again to remember more.

"It's something we're excited about," Reed said. "For me as a comic nerd, I always thought of Ant-Man and Wasp as a team, and that's a lot of what the second movie is really about–how they work together, what their personal and professional relationships are like. To show her finally fully formed in this movie is really exciting. We really get to introduce this character into that universe."

Reed stressed that Lilly won't be a sidekick or supporting character to Rudd. Rather, she'll be just as important as the main man. "We've introduced the character, but we haven't seen her with her full power set and everything," said Reed. "So, to me, she's not a supporting character in this movie. It's every bit as much her movie as it is Scott Lang's."

I'm surprised for an Mcu movie, this only had 2 premier locations as part of the promo tour.. Hollywood and Taipei. Were they merely given an 'ant-sized' promotions budget or something? Hehe. It's rather interesting.

Yes!!
I knew they weren’t going to drop the ball with this one. The MCU unfortunately haven’t really showcased the female heroes as much but they’re changing that. The women have really been the standouts in the last few movies such as Infinity War, Black Panther, Ragnarok and now Ant Man and it’s all leading to Captain Marvel’s solo movie. It’s going in the right direction.

Well, I suppose this was inevitable like all other films, but seems the mid-credits scene, the one that actually matters and not the pointless after-credits one, has already been leaked online. Comic Book Movie even had an article up about it. I guess it was only a matter of time, stuff from these big budget comic films always makes its way to the internet quite fast.

Going at 7:15 tonight

Probably cannot post a review until tomorrow though :csad:

Hey, are you still hella depressed after the events of “Infinity War”? Do you need a Marvel movie to keep your mind off of the sadness of “Infinity War”?! Well, Kevin Feige’s amazing business moves continue for Marvel Studios and he has the perfect antidote for you. “Ant-Man and the Wasp”!

The action is still fun, innovative, and overall an enjoyable rollercoaster ride. Hope finally gets to show off her badass skills in her Wasp suit and when she’s working side by side with Scott, the film is at it’s best.

The first Ant-Man was a mess in terms of the production from the change of directors and script rewrites, and it ended up being a fun surprise thanks to the VFX team more than director Peyton Reed. Here, Reed finds his place in the MCU as he maintains the light tone.

Who's going tomorrow night?

Going to a 6 PM show tonight, which kind of surprised me since I thought Thursday night preview screenings were no earlier than 7, but I'm not complaining. Either way, I'm excited. I was nowhere near this level of anticipation for the first Ant-Man.

I have a 6 pm showing tonight too. Super excited.

The older I get and the more of these movies come out, I'm constantly getting better at avoiding spoilers. I'm going in pretty much blind.

My daughter and I are going to the 7pm showing here tonight.

There are a ton of showings out here, but I won't leave work in time to make the 6pm shows :csad:

So I gotta wait until 7:15 :o

No showings since I'm in Europe and World Cup :o

I hate all of you :funny:

Good....good....late the hate flow through you.

Let. The word was let, girl. :argh:

I know, I am just teasing :funny:

Since I'm bored because Marvel didn't release the movie here :/

But seriously, I'm the same way. I find that leading up to a film's release, if you don't go looking for spoilers you won't find them. At least around sites like SHH. YouTube and Instagram are a different story though. The day Infinity War came out, videos were popping up on my YouTube feed that had IW spoilers in the title of the video. Thank God I saw it already, or I'd have been supremely pissed.

It's funny too because back in the day, I'd spoil every movie by either reading the novel/internet spoilers beforehand. I did that with basically every big movie (the Star Wars prequels, the Spider-Man and X-Men movies), up until The Dark Knight. That's when I realized that going in without knowing what's going to happen makes the experience so much better. At least for the stuff I really like, such as MCU movies or Game of Thrones.

I just made my purchase. I wonder how fast it is before new Cloak and Dagger episodes show up on my system's FreeForm on demand menu?

6PM here as well. Only Thursday night showings I remember being at 6 were Justice League and Dunkirk.
