Patrick Wilson as Hank Pym

The costume needs to be updated, though. That is for certain. I don't think he can wear this without people giggling:

Finally a separate section for Ant-Man!

I would love to see Nathan Fillion as Ant-Man but I don't think that is going to happen. Maybe Tobey McGuire or Jake Gyllenhaal.

Ewan McGregor for Hank Pym.

Oh, and Tony Stark is probably no older than 41 or so. He had to have been born around 1971 to look the age he did in Howard Stark's video, which was in 1974.

Lee Pace should play every comic book character in existence apparently.

I like the casting of Alan Tudyk as Ant-Man in an Avengers sequel, but do you think he's headline material? Whedon made Nathan Fillion a leading man, but he hasn't done it with Tudyk. I guess if Pym becomes a supporting character in a Lang-centric movie, that would make sense... I still hate the idea that Pym won't be starring in his own film.

I like the idea of casting Brits for Pym and Lang, and even Janet. Wright has a lot more British actors he's worked with and is comfortable with, and it would be nice to expand the international fanbase and broaden the appeal of the Avengers. There's nothing that says Ant-Man is quintessentially American, so let's let a quintessentially British director cast some quintessential Brits in these roles.

As long as they're white, right? =P

I guess Wasp was Asian-American in the Ultimates. It would be cool to see a person of color play a major superhero in the MCU finally.

Here's my fancast for Ant-Man.

HANK PYM/ANT-MAN - BRADLEY COOPER
AMFC1.png

Bradley Cooper is probably best known for his main role in the Hangover series, but has shown he is capable of acting as seen in films such as Limitless. He would be able to bring a likeable and more relatable slant to the character, which I think would be a good thing.

As seen in THE HANGOVER, LIMITLESS

JANET VAN DYNE/THE WASP - ELIZA DUSHKU
AMFC2.png

Eliza Dushku is an actress many will recognise from various Joss Whedon projects. She is a good, underrated actress who would be able to play Janet's more bouncy and young personality well, and would be good in contrast to the more laid back and quiet, in comparison, Pym. She has shown a good and capable acting range in the various projects she has been a part of.

As seen in DOLLHOUSE and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER

SCOTT LANG/ANT-MAN - JONAS ARMSTRONG
AMFC3.png

Scott Lang may not be the Ant-Man people want to see on the big screen, but chances are he will be the main character, or one of the main characters, in the upcoming Ant-Man flick. Jonas Armstrong is a British actor who starred in the British TV Show Robin Hood as the title character and did a great job in it. He has proven to be capable of portraying different emotions, but I don't believe we have been able to see the range he is capable of yet, which is a shame. I feel he would be able to portray Lang's emotions well.

As seen in ROBIN HOOD (TV Series) and HIT & MISS (TV Series).

THE EGGHEAD - SIMON PEGG
AMFC4.png

Simon Pegg is well known for his collaborations with Edgar Wright, and always plays great characters. Therefore he automatically deserves a place within the upcoming Ant-Man film. I feel a character he could play well would be Egghead. Egghead doesn't neccisarily have to be the silly, idiotic looking villain from the comics - he very easily could just be an evil scientist, out to kill Ant-Man, with no deformed head. Pegg would be able to play a serious yet comedic role very well -as he has done in the past in many of Edgar's other films - and therefore would be able to portray the Egghead as a likeable and worthy villain for the film.

As seen in SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ

THE WHIRLWIND - JASON O'MARA
AMFC5.png

Whirlwind is a character that in my opinion would be a very good choice for the Ant-Man movie. He could be Egghead's right hand man, sent out to stop Ant-Man. He would provide very interesting visuals. Jason O'Mara appeared in the short lived TV series Terra Nova, and although many disliked the show, I personally felt it was very underrated. Jason has decent acting chops, and has the look and personality that I could definitely see work as Whirlwind.

As seen in TERRA NOVA and IN JUSTICE

TASKMASTER - JOHN SIMM
AMFC6.png

The Taskmaster is well known Marvel villain, and one I'm sure many fans would love to see on the big screen. Although I don't see him being the big bad of Ant-Man, he could very well appear in a sequel or in a future Marvel film. He would be set up in an after-credits sequence, or seen for a short while in the film. John Simm is a very good actor and one I can definitely see playing a menacing Taskmaster. He would be able to really have a presence as the villain of the film, and I feel would really do the character justice.

As seen in LIFE ON MARS and DOCTOR WHO

Thanks for reading. Hope you like my suggestions!

I like your casting for Egghead and Whirlwind, and Jessica Stroup isn't bad either.

I prefer Autumn Reeser for Wasp however:

For Hank Pym I say Patrick Wilson.

And for Scott Lang I'd go for Simon Baker:

Baker has the right roguish feel and charm and looks like the comic Scott Lang.

I really like the Patrick Wilson suggestion, there's something about him that make me think he would be a GREAT decision.

Ewan fits the role, definetly, but not sure if Marvel would cast someone as well known, specially to include him later in the same movie than Robert Jr, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett, Jeremy, the two Chris and the rest of the cast.

Would be interesting, tho

Well, this is what was going to awesome about having RDJ and Ed Norton in the same movie with the rest of those guys and gal. Unfortunately, well known = $$$. And Marvel does not like spending $$$. You definitely want an actor who's capable of standing out when he needs to when among the rest of those actors.

My pick for Wasp, is Krysten Ritter, yep The B*tch from Apartment 23

Krysten+Ritter+Wasp.jpg

I still go with my Patrick Wilson/Amy Acker cast. I think Wilson would be perfect, especially in an Avengers movie, with Pym being Tony Stark's equally brilliant but less charismatic colleague, which could set up some amusing situations, especially if they compete over Janet's attention at all, with her choosing the nerdier Pym over the "cooler" Stark.

I could definitely see Alan Tudyk in the role.

Not for the Whedon connection but Alan Tudyk (Pym) and Eliza Dushku (Jan) works for me.

Rafe Spall is a terrible actor, every time I see his name in this thread I want to cry a little.

Patrick Wilson I could see myself getting behind though. (God, that sounds bad, I mean in a supportive way... I think.)

I hope whoever is cast its as Pym and Janet. And I hope that they hint, at least, at Pym's mental illness.

I prefer Morena Baccarin saved for someone like Moondragon in Guardians of the Galaxy. Or someone else who is normally meant to be exotic.
