Antje Traue IS Faora in The Man of Steel - Part 1

You know, she is so striking, yet look at all the different images people have posted of her. She has a chameleon quality. With longer hair and different costuming, I really could see her as the Princess of The Amazons.

As for Faora... Bring her back to do a Vegeta in MOS3 to die in combat against Brainiac, fighting alongside Superman and Supergirl. Have her last line before her self sacrifice be "A good death is it's own reward Kal of El. I join our world having avenged the loss of Kandor."

Ugh....

You know what's funny is that I was wondering on how they were going to make Faora a badass before the film came out since while I could buy that Antje had the look, her voice didn't come off as intimidating from the videos that I had seen of her talking, but low and behold, she made it work well with her voice in the film.

On another note, like I mentioned before, if Marion hadn't been selected to play Talia, then I think Antje would have been the next best choice.

She has a soft little voice, but it some how worked in the film. Hell, I would to see Marion and Antje in a movie together.....if you catch my drift. ;) :p

THIS. THIS. THIS. THIS. THIS. Marion is a great actress. But Traue is much more in line with how I would imagine a live action Talia. Maybe a little too light skinned, but her voice and how she carries herself on screen... Totally in line with classic comics Talia. Still can't shake the idea of Faora coming back for a sequel. Would love if this really puts Traue on the map for bigger things, but I hope she doesn't get too big to reprise her role as our favorite Kryptonian femme fatale.

For my own part, I loved Shannon as Zod. He gave a nuanced performance in a nuanced movie. Faora, as awesome as she was, is very straight forward as a character. She is a faithful soldier to Gen. Zod who is a highly skilled warrior that obviously enjoys what her job sometimes entails.

I don't think that Antje would nor should take on a leading role like Wonder Woman just yet, with "only" Pandorum and Man of Steel (5 Days of War and Nobel's Last Will don't count) backing her up anyway.
Similar to Christoph Waltz, she needs to do some more supporting roles to further establish herself and improve and broaden her acting chops before landing a big gig.
Playing Julianne Moore's right-hand witch Bony Lizzie in Seventh Son and the (rumored) character of Sara (support to Isabelle Fuhrman) in the (still ill-fated?) Suspiria remake is the right thing to do, imo.

Not to mention that I don't really see (yet) how a 'Wonder Woman' movie (much like a 'Girl of Steel' standalone) could work out nowadays, after the complete disasters that were 'Catwoman' and 'Elektra'.
Introducing her with the JL movie seems like a more wise and safe thing to do but that still is a far way off.

This is an old photo of her made up as Hedy Lamarr. She looks like a completely different person.
A few other shots from that particular photoshoot after the break:

I love how she took the character and made it her own.

She didn't have that much screen-time, but boy, did she deliver... you hear people talking about Russell, Kevin Costner, etc, but I think the real gem of the movie is Faora... she added some 'sorely missing' fun moments in the film...

Literally anyone could have played Talia. Her role was meaningless, pointless, and short.

I would have been an awesome Talia. I would have improvised a better death scene, with contortions and mouth foaming. And the sight of my hairy chest in that ball gown would have doubled the female audience.
