I much prefer when it's brown, it just seems more realistic and less "loud" to me. While we're on the subject, why is the buckle yellow too? Shouldn't it be silver?

This may seem like I'm really nit picking, but eh I'm bored and it's always bugged the crap outta me!

The less the powers that be focus on "realism" and the more they focus on "telling good stories" the better.

I like it when it's pouchy but not when it looks like a thin plastic tape measure that couldn't fit a penny.

I prefer the yellow capsule utility belt for the classice blue/gray costume.

And the pouch belt for the black/gray costume.

But when has it ever been brown color, is it brown in the current comics because I'm not up to date on them?

I've never seen it brown, per se, I've seen it colored yellow-brown or if you'd rather, a non-metallic gold, but never pure brown. I personally like the yellow-brown/gold-like color rather than bright yellow.I've even seen a couple of black belts that i thought worked quite well.

Wasn't it brown in Batman:Year One? I have to admit the brown belt is so rare, I'm not even sure I can come up with specific stories where he has it.

Batman Year 100, Batman year one, Batman DKR/DKSA had a brown/dark gold belt

and some fan movies like Batman dead end has black

Off topic but I more or less think Year one Batman is the "definitive" version, although he could use longer ears. :oldrazz:

i'll admit it's not what i'd be wearing out at night whilst stalking criminals - all black for me, but i have a soft spot for it. as with the yellow chest emblem.

Well, I wouldn't wear a cape like Batman... wait! I wouldn't wear his costume at all.

of course not. but if i did, i wouldn't be using any form of colour on one. yellow especially is going to compromise stealth. obviously. it's simple to make such a basic call by merely looking at a comic panel and translating it to the real world.

I like yellow only because it is in line with the original comics. And I am another hater of the belts that couldn't possibly hold anything. Haven't seen a movie belt yet that could actually house weapons. The latest incarnation is closest, but it still falls short.

And considering Batman would proboly prefer to conceal himself and be as stealth as possible....A yellow belt should be his logical choice. :awesome:

Yellow belt = good belt.

I agree with that but I can understand why some people don't like it.

I thought the yellow belt translated really well in Batman 89, I don't think it looked ridiculous at all.

While, I thought the Batman Begins belt really looked believable that it could carry Batman's gadget's.

I think the yellow color of the Batman 89 belt combined with the design and practicality of the Batman Begins belt, would be the best.
